What is Ambient Energy? Before we answer that, first, we need to know what energy is.
Energy is the capacity for doing work. It may exist in potential, kinetic, thermal, helectrical, chemical, nuclear, or other forms. Wherein, work is the energy transferred to or from an object via the application of force along a displacement.
Basically energy is the primary component in order to incite a movement, change or induce force upon something. With that, we could say that Ambient Energy itself is a different form of the energy that the general populace is aware of.
Ambient Energy is a form of Energy that exists in different particles of our environment. This energy is dormant and always in potential state until used.
Unlike the different forms of energy that exists in the Physical World, Ambient Energy is something that belongs to the Celestial World. Physical World is an ancient moniker for the set of phenomena that adheres to the Law of Physics while Celestial World is also an ancient moniker, but for the Laws of Metaphysics (or Mysticism which is an old jargon given by scientists).
Ambient Energy exists everywhere, but also exists nowhere. This is so due to the fact that Ambient Energy is something that no Physical Matter (things that has mass in the Physical World) could interact, react or collide to. This is also the reason why Ambient Energy does not adhere to the Law of Conservation of Energy albeit being a type of energy in itself. Ambient Energy and Physical Energy (heat, electricity, work, kinetic, etc.) are both energies, but reside in two different dimensions. These two energies never meet and intersect and so does matter.
Note that humans belong to the Physical World and the Celestial counterpart is something that Modern Science and Magic had no access to. The Celestial World is just a theorized dimension to realize the feasibility of Ambient Energies. With this notion, it could be said that such energy is supposed to be non-existent if not hoax. But, upon its discovery in 1200's, the mystery was unveiled even before the conceptualization of atoms.
Ambient Energy does not exist in the physical world conventionally, but each particle known to physics has a counterpart in the Celestial World. These includes the particle that defines mass and all forms of matter. Albeit (particles) being different in the Physical World, the counterpart is all the same in the Celestial World which means that Fermions, Quarks, Photons and many more are all the same, but with different energy levels. Aside from energy levels, the properties of particles that contain Ambient Energy is the same. This particle is called Primaterions
The most significant property of Primaterions is that it is something that could manifest in the Physical World and is convertible to anything given that the Ambient Energy of the Primaterion is sufficient and equivalent to its Physical counterpart.
Does the manifestation affect the Law of Conservation of Energy? Typically not since the two energies of Physical World and Celestial World are in equilibrium at all times. Once the Ambient Energy is utilized and converted to something Physical, the equivalent Physical Energy also instantly converted back into Ambient Energy. This energy usually comes from the energy wastes we call Losses. Losses like Heat Energy turns back into Ambient Energy in which allows for the two types of Energy to balance and remain equilibrium.
In the physical world, entropy prohibits energy to be converted with 100% efficiency, but that is because scientists dismisses the notion of the existence of Ambient Energies in the equation. It is akin to the full picture ripped apart and being viewed separately.
Manifestation of Ambient Energies is often the product of Mystical Arts or the Occultic Sciences. During the old times, minority discovered different ways to call upon the energies by belief and extreme scientific placebo. Different methods were devised to convert Ambient Energy to the work required in making fire.
For example in the book Magic 2: Magic Manifestation and Conjuration Basics, to conjure flames one must make certain set of instructions in the form of Magic Circles (Spell Matrix in Magic Enginering books) or Incantation (Prayer in Theology and Beliefs). These instructions are not the same as how the movies portray them. Magic Circles do not emit light and activate upon touching them nor does Incantations call upon verbalization. Magic Circles and Incantations are the set of references we need to study and familiarize for when we conjure in a meditative or tranced state. Like Engineering Diagrams (e.g. Circuite Diagrams, Process Flow Chart, Feedback and Control System diagrams and Algorithms), a practicioner of magic needs to familiarize the instructions in subconscious levels (almost hypnosis). Therefore, to simplify long instructions, like mnemonics, Magic Circles and Incantations are required or atleast if there are more convenient methods like Chinese Talismans or even brailles.
The Manifestation of Ambient Energy requires atleast 60% of the mental consciousness while casting as for the rest is allocated to free will. The detailed processes will be further discussed in the next chapters.
