Fighters started to say:
"Oi..isn't he that brat that went from class Z to class C in just two days?"
"Yeah, that's him. Sho Takahashi."
"I heard he was some kind of menace on earth."
"Both of his parents died, some say he killed his own father."
"Really??"
"Yep."
…
"How did he level up so fast?"
"Probably just try-Harding like some people out here. Kaiju try-hard's too. I've been in some raids with him. Kaiju gets excited to fight, but says he wasn't having fun, or that he didn't enjoy himself."
Sho folded his arms, and Kell walked up to him, saying, "You actually showed up."
Sho replied, "Fuck off."
"Hah?!"
"If I catch you alone in there, your ass is mine."
"That's my line, hobo."
Bebop walked up to Kell, and waved at him, "Hi! You're the b-boy from the cafe!"
Kell tilted his head, "Hoh? A brat?"
Bebop continued to smile, and she kicked Kell in the ankle.
Kell grunted, "Ah! You little shit!"
Bebop started to laugh, running in circles, and Kell chased her.
May started walking towards them, and she rubbed Sho's ear.
Sho got goosebumps, and he turned to look at May, saying, "The hell.."
May replied, "You've been uh..leveling up pretty damn fast."
"Is that a major concern? I thought I was leveling up just like the rest of you."
"I mean..shit…it's abnormal to be class C in just two days. Fuck happened?"
"Huh?"
"Nah, something's up my guy. You know something about this Tower that we don't."
"You're confusing yourself with that shit, I don't know anything about the Tower of Valhalla like everyone else here."
"Aight'. Oh, and by the way.."
"Hm?"
"You have a uh..phone number or some shit?"
"Why? You like me or something?"
"Don't make it seem like I'm over here trying to spit game towards you, cause' that's not what it is. I don't like you like that."
"If that's the case, then you're not getting shit."
"Tch, I didn't want it anyway."
"You obviously did."
"Fuck you."
"Bet you'd love that."
"N-No I wouldn't. I don't indulge in that activity, sir. I hate you. Don't ever speak to me."
"Not surprised."
Sho thought, 'I'm not used to talking to girls at all. Mom and dad tried to help me, but I shrugged that shit off a lot. Should I try again? Hell no.'
May thought, 'He keeps popping up in my head, I'm gonna hit myself with a hammer. He's stubborn, but I guess it takes time due to his upbringing. Still, I hate him now. No way I'll ever suck up to him again. Nah. No way. Not ever. I won't ever talk to him again.'
Kell slid in between the two of them, "Whoaa! Whoa! What's this? Why are you two engaging in conversation?"
May turned around walking away.
Kell slowly looked at Sho, asking, "What..did you..say to my precious relative?"
"Fuck off."
"That's my line! You don't speak to May. She's worth more than your entire life."
"I'll kill you."
Bebop was playing patty cake with Stacen, singing a lullaby with it.
Stacen said to her, "Thou art good at this hand-game. Are you the champion?"
Bebop smiled, "Yes! I am!"
Stacen smirked, "Expected from someone of your caliber. Teach me how to become a champion, so that I may become worthy."
Raiden was crawling on the ground, hiding in the shadows to try and sneak up on Sho, thinking, 'He must accept me now, after he witnesses my perfect stealth-.'
Sho looked down, "The hell are you doing?"
Raiden thought, 'Rats! Thou has spotted me.'
Raiden stood up, "Sho. Have you found satisfactory results within the skills of my stealth?"
"Ya' wanna get stomped?"
"If it's from you, I shall take it as a lesson."
Kaiju landed feet first in front of Sho, saying, "Haha! Sho Takahashi! I knew you'd come! Congratulations on getting stronger! I cannot wait for the day that me and you will battle it out to the death! Aren't you ready, Sho Takahashi?!"
Sho responded, "You're in my way."
"Ha! The famous attitude of Sho Takahashi! I see you've brought your two subordinates with you."
Bebop and Gideon were standing beside each other, and Gideon smiled, "You remember me?"
Kaiju grabbed Gideon by the hair, and inspected him, lifting him a few inches off the ground.
Kaiju said, "Interesting specimen. Psychopathic creature, human? Unsure. Would make a fun fight? Probably not, like the others."
Gideon laughed, "Hey, mind putting me down? Haha.."
Kaiju tossed Gideon to the side, and said to Sho, "Sho Takahashi, best of luck to you inside of this event! May the best man win!"
Kaiju stuck his hand out to shake Sho's hand, but Sho walked past Kaiju, saying, "Whatever. If I get the chance, I'll kill you too."
"Haha! Yes! That's what I like to hear from a future rival!"
Sho started walking by himself, as other Fighters looked at him.
Some Fighter with a group said, "Sho! Sho! Wanna group with us for the raid?!"
Sho answered, "Die for all I care."
As Sho kept going, he walked past a man with peach skin, red shoulder length wavy hair, yellow eyes, and a black wolf on his shoulder. His name was Kai, but he earned the nickname, "Terror Man."
Kai was a class A Fighter, with a 100,000 power level.
He's killed over 200 Fighters in the course of the entire time he's been in the tower. He was offered many offers to join guilds, but once he joined them on raids, he would kill them all.
Kai pierced a glance at Sho, then looked away. He walked towards a palm tree, and leaned against it, closing his eyes, thinking, 'None of them will get in my way.'
There were five more Solo Fighters just like Kai, sitting or shading alone by themselves, thinking, 'Let's hurry up..and get this shit done.'
These 5 Solo Fighters usually have ranked up alone, which caused more attraction towards them, which caused more guilds to want to recruit them. These 5 solo fighters mostly took down other Fighters for points instead of going on actual raids. In any case, Solo Fighters were names given to Fighters who are loners, but they don't mainly participate in raids unless they are targeting a certain Fighter or guild, but they mainly target other Fighters.
They believe it isn't necessary to kill monsters and humanoids in raids and finds it revolting at times, believing kills against lower class Fighters or Fighters at the same class as them would be more convenient, not having to go through the trouble of going on raids.
Sho went to an open field with palm trees around, and he sat on the ground.
'I don't trust any of them. I can't be too friendly with anyone. I hate to admit it to myself, but my father taught me that. When in unknown places, don't even trust the shadow that's under you. Being here..without them..just feels off. They talked about it a lot. If only they knew what the fuck actually goes on in here. They would've never considered coming in here. I found a reason to make it to the top, and that is so I can live forever for my mother, and so I can override the fucked up moments I've had on earth with new moments of righteous change, for my mother. I've been down lately for the past few hours, thinking about her. How everything would've turned out if I hadn't killed my father. I try not to think about that shit, but it's hard to forget something like that. Hard to forget the moment where I had to fight for my life for the first time. Before that, we'd have fun times together, always going places. You would've never expected shit to go sideways…'
[FLASHBACK]
[A few years ago]
[Earth]
[The aquarium center]
There were many people in the hallways of the aquarium, and there were large windows on the ceilings and walls, and behind them, were sea creatures floating and swimming in the waters.
5 year old Sho was being carried by his father, sitting on his shoulders, as his mother was standing beside them, holding Sho's hand.
Sho smiled, "So cooool! I wanna go in!"
The mother replied, "Haha, maybe one day you can, if you decide to become a scuba diver."
"Yes! I wanna be a scoobo diver!"
"SCUBA diver, dear."
"Scuuuba!"
"That's right, good job."
The father pointed at a shark, saying, "Look, there's a shark!"
Sho answered, "Oh! I love sharks! It's looking right at us!"
"I love sharks too, kiddo. What's your favorite sea animal?"
"Hmmm, a shark! Because they look cool! I heard they go super super crazy when they smell blood!"
"Yes, that's actually true. Good job. You're kind of like that in a way, you can't stand the sight of blood."
"It's nasty, and scary coming out of people."
Suddenly, all of the sharks behind the glass were swimming together, all of them together, looking at Sho.
Sho pointed, "Look! Look! Mom, dad, look!"
The father says, "They're all looking at us..is this glass really secure?"
The mother says, "They must've gotten happy that you say they are your favorite sea creatures, Sho."
Sho laughed, "Haha! Hiii, sharkies! I'll be a scuba diver one day, and I'll meet you guys soon! Haha!"
[FLASHBACK END]
[Present Day]
Raiden asked Bebop, "What makes Sho the way he is?"
Bebop answered, "He doesn't tell people much about himself, but.."
Kell interrupted, "Oh please, that loser-."
May grabbed Kell by the ear, and started walking off, and Kell exclaimed, "Oi! Oi! What's the deal?! Let go of me, scum! Fool! Nuisance! Delinquent!"
May responded, "Don't start."
Gideon said, "I'm gonna go see what's wrong withhhhh Sho."
Gideon was about to run forward, but Kaiju grabbed Gideon by the neck, saying, "Let Sho Takahashi meditate on his own. He is a future rival of mine, we will fight to the death one day when you and the little child aren't around, he needs everything he can get. And due to him being a Takahashi…he can endure anything that comes to him. Like his grandmother."
"Mmmm, who are you again?"
"HUH?! I'M THE GREAT KAIJU! THE UNDEFEATED CHAMPION!"
"Seemsssss like you have yourself that title, mister Kaijuuuu man."
"You, boy, are a weird specimen. Very well. I'll annihilate you with my champion tendencies once Sho is defeated in our upcoming worthy battle!"
"Yay! I'm the chosennnn one!"
Standing off to the side, May and Kell were talking, and Kell asked, "What's up with you?"
"Nothin'."
"Nothing of my concern? Is it about this event?"
"Sure."
"Hmm. There are quite a few Fighters here. Earlier, I walked around past everyone just to get a glance on their classes and power levels. There are 10% class Z Fighters, 30% class B Fighters, 20% class D Fighters, 20% class C Fighters, and the rest are class A Fighters. Pretty well rounded group. And almost half of the Fighters here are in guilds, and there are only a few Solo Fighters."
"If they all suddenly wanted to attack us, you think we could take them?"
"Hm? What's up with that question?"
"Mom and dad..they used to ask out of the norm questions, being ready with an answer just in case anything unordinary happened. For a higher chance of survival."
"That was just their paranoid mercenary status talking."
"Kell.."
"Enough of that subject, when the hell is this event gonna start? I'm ready to leave that scum Sho in the dust."
"Tch.."
Out of nowhere, everyone's bodies began to glow, and Sho thought, 'Here we go again…shit. I didn't think about this..but will we be splitting up..?'
Everyone disappeared, and they ended up inside of the gigantic temple, all spread out throughout the entire place in different locations. Some of them were partnered up with random Fighters they didn't even know.
Sho, Kell, Stacen, Kai, and four other random Fighters were together in a dungeon-like area with hieroglyphics on the walls, and statues surrounding them.
Sho sat up, "Um.."
Kaiju looked around, "It looks just how I imagined it would look from the outside! Haha! Where are the enemies?!"
Kai answered, "Enough already, you're being loud. You see, this room is small as hell."
Kell panicked, "Oh my! Oh my!"
Sho asked Kell, "The hell is wrong with you?"
"Where is MAY?! She's not with me! I was literally holding her hand when we were glowing! Sho, did you do something to her?!" Kell grabbed Sho by the collar.
Sho pushed Kell off, "Get off of me! You fucking bastard!"
Stacen was standing off to the side, looking at everyone.
Kell said, "I have to call May!"
Stacen replied to Kell, "Thy phones do not work in the prisms of events nor raids."
"Huh? Who are you? And I knew that already, foolish scum."
"Thy did not know one was foolish as yourself."
"What did you just say to me? I'll end you right now!"
Kaiju stepped in, saying, "There is no need to meddle towards a strength test with this lady here. Have some decency."
"Shut up you big fat oaf! I almost killed you before. Don't forget that."
"I wasn't going to fight anyone but Sho Takahashi, my future rival."
"He's a class C Fighter! That's so low!"
"He's a Takahashi."
"That doesn't mean anything."
"Tell me, what is your relationship with Sho Takahashi?"
"He was my pet in school, my stepping stool, the floor that I walk on."
Sho said to Kell, "You wanted me to be those things, never worked though. You and your buddies got bashed in the fucking faces."
Kai rolled his eyes, leaning up against the wall, thinking, 'How ridiculous. I get put in a group with a horde of high class Fighters.' Kai inspected all of the Fighters, thinking some more, 'The four random Fighters are a class D, C, and another A, and another class A. But Kaiju is a class A, Sho Takahashi is a class C, Kell is a class A, and Stacen is a class B. If I were to take them all out, I'd have to trail behind, and pick them off quietly. Because..it seems like Kaiju the try-hard will keep me from killing Sho or Stacen, since he declares Sho his future rival, and demands a worthy fight, he wouldn't want anyone else trying to kill him in front of him. And with Stacen, Kaiju defended her, giving the possibility that he may try and defend her if I try to kill her in front of him. And Kell…I've seen him in action, he'd be a truly tough opponent, I've seen him in action, mostly shown on the feed and on the news reported by Passive Fighters. It's a good thing I've been listening in on their conversations. Usually, if this were any other group, I'd kill them all in one swipe. Either way, I didn't expect the Fighter event to place us randomly with other people, I thought we would walk in on our own like regular raids too. Now then..I'll just trail behind and pick them off one by one as we start to move through the temple. Who's going to be my first target?'
One random Fighter asked, "Uh, what now? Anyone know a way out of this room or..?"
Kell replied, "Stop being lazy and find one, foolish scum of a Fighter. No wonder you're a low class."
Suddenly, there were glowing gold letters in the air, and everyone started looking at them.
Kaiju said, "Goodness! Is an enemy gonna jump from those gold letters?! A fight is coming? Please let it be a fight!"
Kell looked up, "These words…I can't understand them. Which one of you fools can speak gibberish?"
Stacen says, "Thou does not know these letters either.."
The other 4 random Fighters said:
"What does this even say?!"
"I have learned every language back on earth, but I've never seen this before!"
"My guess is that these are instructions perhaps."
Sho was walking forward, looking directly, and he said, "No way.."
Stacen asked Sho, "What do thy words say?"
Kaiju thinks, 'This Stacen woman automatically assumed Sho knew what these words meant..'
Sho could read the golden words loud and clear, but the words to the other Fighters looked like gibberish symbols.
Sho said, "I can read them.."
Kai asked, "Well? What do those damn words say?"
"Shut up. The words say..'Kill Sho Takahashi…in under 2 minutes, or there will be fatal consequences.'"
Sho thought, 'No way this is real..no fucking way…with my odds being how they are..there's no way I can fight everyone in here..'
Kaiju said, "What a tragic turn of events! And here I thought we'd be fighting goblins or monsters or something!"
Kell implied, "I'm getting the kill first! So everyone, don't try and kill him!"
Kai thought, 'This has gotten pretty interesting..'
The four Fighters didn't hesitate to run after Sho, yelling, "I'm pretty sure if we do this, we advance further into the temple, I don't want the other Fighters intervening!"
They got close, and Sho thinks, 'Shit! Four coming from the front, and the others might flank me…why is this happening?'
The four random Fighters got closer, and Sho was making his knife form, but Stacen came out of nowhere with a square hammer made of cinder block, and a handle at the bottom of it, and she swooped in and smashed all four of the Fighters with it, making them smash against the wall, making the temple rumble.
*1 minute and 40 seconds remaining to kill Sho Takahashi.*
Stacen stood in front of Sho, saying, "Back off."
Kell exclaimed, "Oi! Why are you defending him?! Fool!"
Stacen answered, "Thy child by the name of Bebop…she is a sweet child..in which I would prefer not to see her sad. If Sho dies..she will be truly sad. Therefore, I, Stacen of the northern tribe, representing everything that carries meekness, cannot let any of you kill him. For a friend of a friend, is my ally."
Sho whispered to Stacen, "Fool. You'll die by the hands of these fucking assholes. And I'm not your friend."
"I may not be your friend, but you are mines."
"Tch..you have a death wish."
The four random Fighters began to glow different colors on the outline of their body, pressing forward to fight again, and Stacen got ready.
Kaiju stepped forward, "Well..I kinda wanna see what would happen if we don't kill Sho..and besides..I promised him a fight to the death once he is stronger..my champion blood is pumping for some action though..so.."
Kell rushed in fast, running forward with his sword, "No one's getting the kill first but me!"
Kai was running on the wall, trying to sneak in an attack, thinking, 'Sho is my first target then. This room is about to become a big brawl.'
