Arriving at the arena where the sacrifices would be thrown to the Sacred Bull, Rowena looked at it with eyes that were rather unimpressed. It was no different than the one on Aether, maybe a little bit smaller and a little bit shabby in appearance, but other than that, there was barely any difference.
Turning to Eurydice, she said: "Thank you, Eurydice. I can find my way back from here when I am done." Eurydice gave a curtsy and then departed, leaving the Last Queen of Aether and her feline companion. With her gone, Rowena looked down at Kenneth and said to the caracal: "Well, here we are. Let us hope we can find Falco and the others."
Entering the arena with Kenneth following her, Rowena remembered how the arena had been back on Aether. After the entrance, there would be a corridor for sacrifices, though it had never been used for sacrifices in her lifetime. All Rowena could remember it being used for was the quarters for bull dancers, a dangerous profession, but one that she could take part in like the best of them. Dancing, acrobatics, athletics, the Last Queen of Aether was well trained.
Upon finding the cells, Rowena looked inside the first one she came across. Inside was Achilles, just staring at the wall with an intense expression upon his aged countenance while he tapped his fingers upon his knees.
"Achilles!" Rowena whispered. Alas, the old man heeded her not. He was too deep in thought. Once more, albeit a little louder, she whispered: "Achilles!" Still no indication that Achilles had even heard her. Well, maybe the third time would be the charm. Once more opening her mouth, Rowena suddenly felt a hand clamp over mouth from behind and someone begin to drag her away. Struggling in the grip of her captor, Rowena let out a muffled cry as she spied Kenneth further down the corridor.
