"Is he coming to pick you?" Natalie asked Ashley as they prepared to close for the day.
"Yes." She replied.
They weren't doing anything much now, as only a few customers were around. The kitchen workers were also wrapping up their works.
When it was time to go home, both girls left the restaurant. Just as Natalie stopped a taxi, Damon's car also pulled over.
Cool, she thought, at least she didn't have to sit and wait for him.
Ashley bid Natalie goodbye before she entered the car and Damon drove away.

Damon arrived just in time to pick Ashley from work. He pulled over in front of her and watched as she got in after her friend had left.
"Good evening." She greeted him as she entered the car.
"How was work today?" He asked before he drove away.
"It was as usual." She shrugged.
Damon looked at her and looked away. She didn't look stressed out or tired and he sensed happiness. What was she happy about?
