It was also impossible to communicate with the soldiers in Space due to the high interference.

One of the cockcroach beings managed to slip past the range of He Yuan's laser and latch onto the leg guard of his Tech suit. He was quick to dislodge it and blast it away but not before a fist sized hole had been eaten through the leg guard.
