"Just damn did it for me!" Melody's voice rose uncontrollably, causing Maddie to pause in surprise.
Maddie blinked and took a moment to calm down before speaking, "Okay, okay. I'll try and see what I can do. But please don't get your hopes up." Like Maddie said, convincing Castelia was never easy especially when it came to dealing with Joshua.
Melody didn't respond but immediately ended the call. Maddie let out a long breath, complaining, "I should have pretended not to know rather than be in trouble like this." Unfortunately it's too late for regrets.
Maddie pushed the phone back onto the bedside table. Since it was already dark, she decided to talk to Castelia tomorrow. They met in the kitchen, on the dining table at breakfast time.
