Joshua thought he had underestimated the two of them, two people who always acted stupid. No, two idiots who turned out to be not as stupid as he thought. They did well, somehow closing their tracks so well that Joshua couldn't find anything.
It would have been easier to get the police to investigate, but Joshua didn't want to deal with them because he would be the one teaching Maddie and Castelia a lesson.
Meanwhile, Castelia and Maddie were smiling. Castelia didn't look very happy, but Maddie was clearly super satisfied with what she did to Joshua. They sat in the living room watching, Maddie holding her feet high on the glass table.
It was evening and they had just finished their dinner before relaxing. Maddie mumbled, "Joshua must have come to that after underestimating us."
