Two minutes of silence without any words. Joshua's irritating silence made Maddie come closer and hit the table with both hands. "At least say something, bastard!" She added, "I did what you wanted and you deliberately kept quiet to ignore me?"
Maddie was really annoyed and wanted to scratch Joshua's face if she could. Unfortunately, Maddie couldn't. Her anger didn't even dominate Joshua. Joshua calmly looked at Maddie and said, "I'm sure that's not the right way to apologize and you should get down on your knees."
Before Maddie could respond, Joshua glanced down and added, "Oh, you can't? Do your feet hurt? Then you can go and return when you can do it."
Maddie stared in disbelief, thinking that at least she'd still begged even if she didn't kneel but Joshua never be nice. He didn't even care if Maddie got hurt more from forcing herself to kneel.
