"I didn't leave you because of him. It is just-"
"Just what? You obviously told me you left me because of him," Maddie interrupted, causing Castelia to have a hard time telling the truth.
Castelia quibbled, "I thought you were fine. I created a commotion to give you time to escape. Isn't that enough?"
"No! It's not enough." Maddie exclaimed without hesitation. "You don't even know if I'm dead or alive. You light a fire and walk away. What if I locked in there? I would have died if people were too late to notice the fire and save me."
Castelia was worried about that too but still left Maddie because of Joshua. Castelia no longer dared to apologize. She told, "You know we have an agreement with Joshua. I can't argue with that so I had to go when he called me and because I'm sure you'll be all right, Madd, I know you'll get away with it."
