Castelia's head hurt, it was already the third call that Bram had refused. She didn't know that Maddie did it, so she thought Bram hated her. Castelia texted, 'Bram, please pick up my call.'
Maddie read the message, she deleted it without a second thought. She made Bram anxious, even so Bram didn't dare to say anything. Bram wouldn't lie that he hoped what Maddie was doing would pay off.
Was it evil trying to separate Castelia from the man she loved? Bram sure did, but what could he say? He wanted Castelia not to be in trouble because of her love for Joshua. That was all Bram hoped for, nothing more.
'It doesn't hurt less than when Joshua left,' Castelia mumbled, feeling her heart breaking into two pieces. Castelia hoped Maddie hadn't left her, hoping she would come back soon and understand her stubborn stupidity.
