"My hand looks like it's about to break." Castelia gently twisted her wrist, then moved her stiff neck. Even though it was eleven o'clock at night, Castelia still came home happy.
Castelia pushed the door with her left hand, stopping when she realized someone was in the dark. Castelia turned on the light to get a better look at who was sitting on the living room couch. "Maddie," Castelia called, approaching as she asked, "What are you doing there?"
Maddie didn't say anything, she lowered her previously hugged knees before turning around. "I hope I'm wrong, I hope I just misunderstood, I hope I don't see anything and I hope I can really trust you."
Castelia didn't understand, her brow furrowed at the meaning of Maddie's ambiguous and sudden speech. "What are you talking about, Maddie?" Castelia touched Maddie's shoulder but was roughly pushed away by her.
