Early morning. The sun wasn't out yet even the birds were still in a deep sleep but the dark room Maddie was in had turned into hell. The sound of the phone ringing loudly pierced her eardrums and shook her consciousness, forcing her to wake up.
"Arrrgggg!" Maddie screamed hysterically, forced herself to get up and snatched the phone from the top of the bedside cabinet. If the noise hadn't woken Maddie, she'd have thrown the phone unknowingly and broken it. Luckily Maddie managed to restrain herself, instead she was silent because she was surprised by the name that popped up on the phone screen.
Maddie's consciousness returned to one hundred percent within a second, she thought for a moment and wondered what the woman meant by calling. "After ignoring us, what did she want?" Maddie huffed in exasperation before deciding to take the call.
