Joshua's arrival infuriates Maddie, making her question whatever his purpose is. To play around or do something annoying? If Joshua didn't mean to be annoying, then Maddie wouldn't want to do something and make him angry and then change his mind.
So, as long as Joshua doesn't do anything, Maddie won't comment either. "Long time no see." He said so when he saw Castelia and turned his head before entering the house.
Castelia didn't want to call it a long time but two weeks wasn't a short amount of time, even Castelia didn't think Joshua would come back having managed to get what he wanted. Castelia thought Joshua would disappear and act like she had never existed, but he didn't.
However, what did Joshua want? He didn't say anything even after he and everyone had left at ten o'clock. Joshua joined in on everything they were doing and left after everyone left.
