Chapter 129 - I'm better

Luther and Trent left Max who was looking at them walking away with an open mouth.

"What?" said Max as sigh and turn his head back to the holographic screen that was showing round 3.

Trent and Luther silently walked to the back of the room where they couldn't be overheard by anyone.

"How did you know?" Luther coldly asked Trent.

"That small battle you had with my two step-brothers. I was in that bar watching over them and I also saw that other fight you had." said Trent as he wink at Luther. Of course, he was talking about the time he had fought Perry, to be more clear the fight Bliz had with Perry.

"That still doesn't answer my question." said Luther as he rub two of his fingers together, Luther knew what Trent meant but he needs to find out if Trent has secret motives. Luther always knew his action has consequences, that's something he can't change. All he could do is face head-on, and that was what Luther was planning right now.

He had already guessed that this platform was under the arena, and sending down that air pressure mid-battle confirmed it. All he had to do now is find out how much Trent knows about him and kill Perry or the two brothers. Luther knew the Farland family would throw a fit if he killed one of their most promising stars so he only has a chance to kill one before they start hunting for him. Perry was the one high on his list, although the two brothers pissed him off they must have done it to test his element. While he could forgive the brothers, Perry had dug her grave when she tried to kill one of his wives.

"I just put two and two together, anyone would if they had the information I had," said Trent as he sigh and shook his head in disappointment.

Luther stopped in his place and began to think, if he leave right now he could come back and kill them later or risk it. Of course, he knew if he tried risking it, he would end up in the same situation he had found Luna. Trent walking up to him and telling him that he knew what he was, was the final nail in the coffin. At the same time, it's not like he was hiding it anymore, or that is what he kept telling himself. After Sllya and her sister had told him of the slayer beginning on this planet sent his emotion into disarray. One day he wants to hide and the other he wants the world to know what he is and how he's better than them.

Cutting off his train of thought Trent asked Luther a question that cause Luther to think deeply.

"Are you a human? Don't get me wrong, and first I thought you were a beast but your intelligence is like none I've ever seen," said Trent as he looked back at Luther who just stared at him.

"NO, No, if you're thinking I'm shaming your looks, I'm not. I would never do that. It's just the way you fight and how you tried to portray yourself, seems animalistic."

Silence overtook the pair as Luther rubbed his head.

Luther had two choices right now, One is to say yes he was human, and continue this internal self-hate or tell the truth.

After a minute of thinking Luther pick the latter.

"I'm not human, I'm better," said Luther as he walked away from Trent leaving him in awe. Time after time, Luther had to overcome this odd feeling that kept him from advancing. As if someone put a chain or lock around his mind, every time Luther decides to move on with his life something or someone forces him to hide or limit himself. Not anymore Luther was done playing at their tone.

After the fifth round ended, the tournament participants were teleported back into the arena for a small lunch break. During that break Luther decided to take to the sky and leave, surprising the few that saw him.

"LOOK! At the sky! What was that beast in the sky?"

"A flying Lizard?"

"No you Fool, the king keeps them a secret."

"Why would the king Keep them a secret?"

"I don't know, ask the king."

"Hold on you two doesn't it look familiar?"

"Yeah, it looks like that thing that attacked that city."

"It can't be, that one didn't have wings."

"No, no, I know someone who survived, she describe the beast to have golden claws and huge dark purple wings."

Unaware of the chaos he had caused Luther flew the sky in peace. Clouds pass through his wings as water and snow filled his mouth.

" I love this…" said Luther as he flew higher into some thunder clouds, right before he could exit from the top two Redwings appeared in front of him.

"WHO ARE YO…" Before Luther could finish his sentence a similar scent to him enter his nose. "Another dragon…"

"Baby brother, it's good to finally meet you." said a Red dragon. Unlike Luther, this dragon had two pair of wings each had an odd golden outline. Two golden horns could be seen on top of its head.

"Brother?" After replying to the other dragon Luther went into deep thought. A distant memory resurfaced in his mind. "The system did tell me I had family here." Luther said to himself.

"Lost in your thoughts? That's so cute, Terra acted just like you when I first met her." Said the Red dragon as he pointed to distant clouds. "Let's leave from here, I don't like getting stuck by lightning."

Luther just nodded his head and quickly followed his brother.

"How did you find me?" Asked Luther

"The king told me but at the same time, it's not like you're trying to hide. The news of you destroying that city spread far."

"Yeah, I had a lapse in judgment and got cared away." Said Luther as he dive towards the nearest cloud. Upon reaching the cloud, Luther turned human and sat on it completely surprising the red dragon.

"YOU CAN DO THAT? Wait that makes sense…" said the Red dragon as he followed Luther's lead and transformed into a human with Red hair. Unlike Luther, his brother's human form had more human features than His. If it wasn't for his inhumanly dark red dragon eyes and scales on his face, one could mistake him for a human.

"So what do you what?" Coldly asked Luther

"I like that getting straight to the point…" said the red dragon as he scratch the back of his head. "I'm wondering if you would like to join the mythical school with the others…"
