The argument between the duo went on for a while, Amil didn't want to admit it, but the Hobgoblin in front of him had a good personality. He knew he needed allies in this place.
'The way leader said that he almost died various times, I think it's not good to want to fight every fucking creature I come across.' Kyl thought, looking at the Hobgoblin who was bantering without stopping.
"Hi~ What can I do for you?" Kyle looked at the reception and saw that it was finally his turn.
'Hm...another catgirl.'
He had met two receptionists; both of them were catgirls. This one was different than the first. The receptionist's body was bountiful; she looked like a mature adult, with each curve being as perfect as it could be. She wore a tight black shirt with a deep cut at the top, showing too much of her cleavage, making Amil's mouth dry.
The receptionist looked at his gaze and giggled; many would get attached to the cat tribe's females. This was the tactic the alliance was using. The number of creatures coming to their territories had increased since this change.
"Uh...I have come here to represent my tribe for the fights." He said, making sure he only made contact with her eyes.
"Welcome~ Brave warrior~I will need to see your ID for now," She said in the most friendly voice.
Amil gave her the triangular ID he got from the leader; the girl looked at the information in it for a minute before responding with a more smily face.
"Amil Basil, here for the fights to increase the rank and chance for his tribe to enter the alliance; this is your room key. You can ask other people how to use it, Goodluck~" She said, making Amil dumbfounded.
He retook the key and his ID, looking at it wide-eyed. The girl slyly smiled, looking at Amil but didn't say anything.
'Just how much information is in this thing? I can't see a single thing at its surface!' He thought. And for the other matter, he already knew how to use a key to open a locked gate from the memories of his previous lives.
Various arrows of different colors were inked on the ground; according to the catgirl, he had to follow the blue one to reach his accommodation.
He didn't wait for the Hobgoblin, who was more honest to himself than Amil; he literally tried to pounce at the catgirl, not being able to control himself. But the catgirl just swayed her arm a little, stopping the Hobgoblin in mid-air.
Amil had forgotten to inspect the girl and was very happy he didn't. She was a clearly higher level than him.
With quick steps, he finally reached the houses with a dome-like structures. They were circular but had a height of 12 feet approx. Amil looked at the key and saw the number '12' written on it.
He looked at the others near their accommodation. The one just next to him was surprisingly a human that, without any problem, entered its house. The one at Amil's other side was some kind of insect; it looked at the gate with a face that looked like a frown.
The insect-looking creature had a broad body and a hint back that looked like a carcass. Amil felt it was an insect because it had two antennas at the top of its head.
It looked at Amil, staring at him, and tilted his head.
'Maybe I can make it my ally' Amil showed the creature his key, and in front of it, he put it in the lock on the gate and moved it. The gate opened after doing that, making the creature surprised. It bowed toward Amil as a sign of appreciation. Amil nodded and entered his place.
The dome from the inside was spacious, having the roof up high. Many types of furniture were there that Amil knew of but didn't have in the tribe. He went to a small room that had a small hole on the ground; it was the restroom of the house. Amil went to the other room and froze; there was a big bed with balloon-like bedsheets on it. Amil sat on it and sank.
"Umm~ They have a fucking water bed; damn, I can live here forever."
He didn't know when but he fell asleep within a few seconds. Amil woke up after a few hours and reluctantly bid farewell to the heavenly bed.
The kitchen had some fruits in a basket and a stove for cooking. He ate a fruit that looked like a person's heart. After some thought, he took a small bite, and to his delight, the taste of the fruit was exquisite.
After an entire course of some roasted flesh, he brought with him in the space ring and fruits. Then, he went outside for more exploring; There was a vast line of houses on both sides with a road-like structure between them.
Many types of creatures were walking and moving in and out of the houses. The place was quite crowded.
"Thank you for the help previously." he heard a cranky voice coming from his side. The insect he helped had come to his territory without asking. Not that Amil minded, but it was weird changing the lifestyle this much.
"No problem, so how do I call you? Wait, I am Amil, from a Kobold tribe" Amil tried to have a conversation to his max skill. It came out weird, but he was pretty proud of it.
"My name is Vore, from the Brown beetle tribe.....I've heard of a kobold but never saw one before." He said while his mandibles moved. It looked creepy, but Amil had seen much worse.
"And I might have even heard the wrong descriptions of Kobolds." He added. Amil felt curious but thought he might know it already but still.
"And what might that be?"
"That the kobolds are cold hearted....no, heartless creatures that have no compassion for any creature but just for themselves. After meeting you, they all seem wrong."
"Well, you are not wrong; I am just a little different."
He made some talk with Vore until the human came out of his room. He looked at Amil and Vore with surprised eyes; a kobold was interacting with someone else. That's a thing you don't see every day.
