The ground quaked under Aduli's feet. Before she knew it, an army of Hobgoblins rushed at her. Aduli smirked, rolled up her sleeves, and cracked her knuckles.
"Hobgoblins ain't shit for a Goblin like me!"
However, as the Hobgoblins approached, they sniffed the air, then went to sniff at Aduli.
"Pippip?" One of them chirped. A sea of "Pippip's" then followed.
"Oh, God dammit..." She muttered under her breath.
"Pippip come to play with us?" Another one piped up.
Aduli heaved a sigh before patting the Hobgoblin on the head, "No... sorry, not today... Next time we'll definitely all play together though!"
The Hobgoblins looked down at the ground in half disappointment, half sadness.
"Man, y'all got puppydog eyes like no other..." Aduli sighed.
She heaved the heavy chest off of her back and set it on the ground, "There y'all go, I can't leave y'all like that,"
The Hobgoblins instantly hopped back up and chanted, "Pippip! Pippip! Pippip!"
"Alright, enough!" Aduli exclaimed, "Go home already!"
The Hobgoblins slowly dispersed. Small, "Bye bye Pippip's," could be heard. With that, Aduli was again left alone.
