My family left my palace around mid-noon to get ready for the masquerade ball. I too had to get ready for the ball. Everyone had to wear a mask for the ball, most of the time everyone got their mask specifically made to fit their dress. Although it was a masquerade ball, it wasn't hard to tell who was who. The royal family's arrival would be announced but nobody else will be announced.
My mask was made a few weeks ago to fit my lavender dress. My masquerade mask was dark blue it had flowers adorned on the top left of the mask. Under the flowers, there were pearls attached to a rope dangling on the side. Every time I turned left or right the pearls would move with me. The pearls weren't that big, the line was only up to my chin, but it gave me the feeling of a pretty princess.
My dress was a lavender colour. It was made in the style of an off-shoulder sleeveless applique chapel train dress. It had flowers adorned at the chest and at the hem of the dress. Along with the dress I was going to wear an Amethyst tiara, the one I wore during the worshipping ceremony. My maids were also going to curl my hair a little and do my makeup.
As soon as I got back into my room, I had a longer bath, where all sorts of cream and lotion were used along with rose petals. "All for a ball," I muttered as Alice laughed. "Your Highness, it's your first ball as the Princess of Theodo kingdom, aren't you excited?" Annie asked as I shook my head. "Not at all. It's not as if there will be anything interesting happening," I mumbled. Wait there is. I sat straight up removing my arms from Alice who was massaging it. "Princess, is something wrong?" Annie asked I shook my head. I sat back down as Alice continued to massage me.
The plot is slowly starting to form. Today on my masquerade ball, Eveline will save Baroness Stylevenna who accidentally fell off the cliff as she had too much to drink. After that, Baroness Stylevenna will accept Eveline as her adopted daughter. Then she will enter the academy and meet Damian. Fall in love after many difficulties and have a happy ending.
I mean at least now I can watch their love story from the very first line. It will be very interesting. But I must make sure Damian and I don't get engaged. I meant to get engaged on my 12 birthday, so I have a whole year to make sure everything will not go the wrong way. I believe everything will be ok. I'll make sure of it.
As soon as I was down with my bath, Alice and Annie helped me get dressed and ready for the ball. Alice began on my makeup whilst Annie did my hair. She was curling my hair and then adding little flower buds so that it would fit my dress. After they were done with my hair and makeup. I wore my black heels and had a good look at myself in the mirror. I looked quite mature and pretty. "Princess, you look so pretty today," announced Annie as Alice agreed. "Thank you," I thanked whilst stepping out of my room. Alice handed me my white gloves before I left my room.
I walked down to the entrance of the palace where my carriage awaited me. The ball was being held in my father's palace in the Opal hall. The carriage would take me to the side entrance of the hall where I would meet my father. He would lead me into the hall. We would walk down the stairs and have the first dance signifying the beginning of the ball.
As soon as the carriage reached my father's palace, I saw Brandon waiting for me. He opened the door and held out his hand for me to hold onto. Using his hand I stepped out of the carriage gracefully. Today Brandon was wearing a white blazer with a golden lion (1) sewn on the right corner of his chest. He also had many badges under the lion. This was one of his official outfits as the crown prince. Along with the white blazer he was wearing black pants and had a golden mask covering only half of his face. Additionally, he was also wearing a garter sash and garter star. He was also wearing white gloves.
