After my not very long break I was immediately rushed towards the study room in my palace and waited for my next set of teachers. The next teacher who would teach me Theodian History was a short bald man. But he had a sense of strictness surrounding him. Which meant I couldn't slack off. His name was Mr Neil.
I later found out he was part of the vessel family of Uncle Robert. Most of my teachers were either nobility or had a high reputation. No surprise there. I mean in this life I was a princess. Being a princess is not fun. The TV and drama shows make this look like an easy cake but it really isn't.
These lessons are hellish. I must say out of all the lessons I have to learn Theodian's History is the worst. There are so many dynasties and people dying and all sorts of stuff like that. Pretty boring stuff must I add. "Princess, are you paying attention?" Me Neil shouted as he looked at my sleepy face. History was usually a fun class for me but now it's definitely not. "Of course I am," I lied whilst looking at my pocket watch.
I was given this by Brandon during my break. 10 minutes left. Thank god. After 10 minutes he left the room while I had a quick toilet break.
When I came back a young woman was standing in front of my desk. She must have been looking at my lovely doodles. "Princess," she greeted as I nodded. "My name is Nadia Kerry Ravert," she introduced, "You can call me Madam Ravert. I will be teaching you the Theodian language and the language spoken in our surrounding kingdom," again I nodded.
She was a pretty normal woman in terms of appearance. She had wavy brown hair with brown eyes. She was wearing a blue dress with floral patterns.
"Marquis Ravert's family," I muttered, "Well then let's get on with it,". Madam Ravert nodded and began teaching her lesson. She wanted to start on a small quiz to test my knowledge of language but I excelled at that easily.
The original Camilla was the worst in everything. But she had one good thing. She was a genius when learning languages. In the original novel, she even helped her father with the negotiations from other countries. But strangely no one knew this.
The hour went by quite quickly and I too learnt a thing or two from this language lesson. Madam Ravert was a patient and kind teacher. She didn't shout or make my lessons super boring. I later found out that Madam Ravert was married to Ryan's second uncle.
The next lesson was mathematics. My biggest enemy. My maths teacher was called Alan Turing. His name reminded me of one of the most famous mathematicians in my world. Cheers to him.
"Greetings Your Highness," announced Mr Turing as I gestured for him to stop bowing. I haven't heard of a Turing family in the capital city. Perhaps it's just a vassal family of another noble. I later found out he was the viscount, who along with other people, dealt with the kingdom's finances.
"Mr Turing, let us begin," I acknowledged as he nodded. He proceeded to hand me a test and allowed me 45 minutes to complete it. I did not have enough time. These questions were quite similar to the ones in my world. But we would have a calculator but here there is no calculator. So I could only write nonsense. After I was done, he allowed me to leave whilst he marked my work.
My last lesson of the day was embroidery and needlework. I hated this but this lesson was quite easy for me. The original Camilla actually did needlework every day at the orphanage, so she was a natural. Although, she wasn't the best at this work but she was able to pass.
My embroidery teacher - Mr Loveland was a lovely man which quite shocked me because many needleworkers in this world were female. He was a tall, and skinny man with dark red hair and a red beard. Mr Loveland was like his name, he was a very patient teacher and I quite enjoyed his lessons. Time went quite quickly.
As soon as I was done, I quickly rushed outside towards the garden and signed. I was finally done for the day. "Princess, would you like anything to drink?" Alice asked as I shook my head. I walked up towards the pavilion in the Lilac Garden at the back of the Amethyst Palace. "I just need a break," I mumbled placing my head on top of my arms.
