"Princess, would you like to go inside and see it?" asked Annie as I nodded. She opened the door as everyone stepped inside to see what was inside. As the light turned on in the room I allowed my pupils to adjust to the light before looking around the room.
The room was decorated in a light purple colour with golden patterns. It was pretty much the same as most of the rooms here. The room was pretty big. It was the size of a modern-day school hall. Well almost the same size, perhaps more significant. The room was filled with a lot of dresses and clothes. In the middle of the room, there was a body-sized mirror. This was perhaps for me to look at myself when I chose my clothes. The dressing room was like an open wardrobe.
On one side of the room were all sorts of dresses hanging over a metal pole. There seems to be more on the inside. There were all sorts of dresses in different colours. "We didn't know what sort of dresses you like so we brought all of them that seemed to be in fashion," explained Mother as I nodded in confirmation. I wasn't a dressed sort of person. These flashy prom-like dresses aren't my style.
Mother must have noticed my hesitation because she continued to point to the other side showing me the sort of clothing classified as smart casual in the 21st century. This is what I like to see. I pretty much like this smart and casual clothing. I walked up to a set which consisted of a sea blue blouse with a sweet necktie and black trousers. Sweet set.
Seeing that I liked it so much Father began to explain the dress code for a princess "Although the rules on women's fashion are not as strict as they used to be. You are still required to wear dresses at formal events like a ball or banquet. However, if you were just going to be around the palace then it's fine to wear trousers," he explained. I nodded in understanding.
"Alright then, I think this should be the end of our tour. I let you have a rest before dinner. Just saying we will have dinner and breakfast together as a family. Breakfast is at 8.30 am and dinner is at 8 pm. So make sure to make your way towards the main palace," explained Father.
They soon left the room and I was too hushed out of it. The butler wanted me out of the room so they could re-decorate the room. I wanted to take a bath so I asked Alice to prepare my bath. As the bath was prepared I stepped inside the room.
The room was a little steamy the so-called bath was quite different from a modern-day bath. The bathroom was practically a pool. The water was quite warm, the water came up just below my shoulders. The pool could have added more water but because of height, they didn't want to drown me.
"Princess, would you like to try my massage skills?" Alice asked. As I nodded. "You are Alice right?" I asked as she hummed yes. Her massage skills were really good I soon felt like trying to sleep.
I woke up to someone still massaging me. I think I had a quick shut-eye. "How long was I asleep?" I asked whilst gesturing for her to stop. "Not long your highness," she mumbled whilst bowing. I asked her to get my towel whilst getting out. The rose petals in the pool must've helped my skin go smoother.
"Annie, go to my dressing room and get me a white summer dress I think I saw it when I went in. Bring it here, I'll change here," I ordered as she nodded. Luckily the room had the chair for me to sit down. Whilst I sat down, I allowed Alice to gently dry my hair. She was also massaging it. "You have got a really good pair of arms," I commented whilst she thanked me.
Not long later I walked to the main palace. It was quite a short walk and the weather was quite breezy. So I didn't mind.
