"Camilla, how was the meeting?" Lexi asked tentatively whilst trying to tell whether or not I was happy or upset. "It went better than expected," I stated. "Father," greeted both Lexi and Damian. Ahh, it was strange hearing Damian call Uncle Robert as father but I mean he did tell Damian to call him father. But surprisingly it just feels really weird and off-putting for me.
"How, about we allow Uncle Robert to rest and I'll tell you all about it in my room?" I suggested as they nodded. "Don't talk for too long," advised the grand duke as we bid him goodbye. We all walked quietly downstairs it was around 9-10 p.m. Yet there were still maids around cleaning up the hallway. "They sure love their job," I muttered. "It seems a bit mean for them to still be working at this late in the night," agreed Damian. "Perhaps, I should suggest to the butler that all the maids and manservants should stop working at 9 pm unless they're (first classed maids/ manservants) our attendants," muttered Lexi as I nodded.
Uncle Robert's office was on the fourth floor and our rooms were on the second floor so we took one of the stairs downstairs. "How are you finding your day here?" I asked Damian as after all he would be staying here for the rest of his life whilst I'll be going back to the Amethyst Palace. "I quite like it here. I haven't been everywhere already but I'm sure I'll enjoy it here," uttered Damian as I nodded in satisfaction. I'm happy he's at least enjoying his time here. When I'm gone I think he would have an ok life. Hopefully. Since Lexi wouldn't bully him now. And he's the friend of Princess Camilla so that should protect him in the upper society.
We finally reached my room after walking for around 5 mins. This manor is tiny compared to the Amethyst Palace yet I'm already getting lost. "How am I going to find my way around my palace if I can't even get around this place?" I asked whilst Damian laughed. "You'll get used to it soon. I used to get lost when I was a kid but now it's fine," explained Lexi.
"I would invite you guys in, but I would like to change into more comfortable clothes so you guy would've to just wait outside for a while. They nodded understandingly. I popped inside with the maid following me. They helped me quickly change out of my dress and placed it on the side to wash before I could wear it again. They then helped me wear my light blue pyjamas. It was a silky, cooling material. It was perfect for the cool spring nights.
When I was all dressed up, I opened the door and invited them in. In my room, there was a double-sized bed, two cabinets, and a dressing table and in the corner, there were two chairs with a small table. The two sat on the chair whilst I sat on my dressing table's stool. I pushed the stool closer to the table and asked the maids to leave us.
