I'm literally internally freaking out as I watched the maids prepare a bath for me. They are even putting all sorts of oil and petals in it. Was it really necessary? Such a waste but I must say it smells heavenly sweet in here.
"Camilla!" someone shouted as I turned my head around. It was Lexi. I wonder what she needs me for. I walked over to her as she grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the bathroom. "Camilla, Father has just told me that he's going to bring you to see your parents today. And since you don't have any suitable dresses yet, he told me to let you wear one of mine," explained Camilla as we ran towards her dressing room opposite her sleeping chambers.
We rushed inside the room and I could see that Uncle Robert and Damian were already there. As soon as we entered the maids had bowed a short curtsy before returning to their work which was bringing out the dresses Lexi hadn't worn yet. "Here Camilla look at this pile of clothes, I haven't worn it yet so you can choose from here," exclaimed Lexi as she dragged me to look at the dresses.
I flipped through the dresses that were hanging and realised she had a lot of clothes. At the corner of my eye, I spotted a peach-coloured dress. Lexi followed my eyesight and noticed that dress. She brought it over for me to see. It was so pretty. It had little flowers adorned near the waste peach-coloured as well.
"Do you like this dress?" Uncle Robert asked as I nodded. It's been so long since I've seen such a pretty dress. I used to really like wearing dresses in my childhood. This dress looks like the one Mum had made for me before. "Take this dress then. I don't really like this dress anywhere. It doesn't fit my jet-black hair. But we must've some accessories," muttered Lexi as she ran around the room looking through the drawers to find accessories and shoes.
"Aha, I found it," screamed Lexi as Uncle Robert glared at her She quickly composed herself and walked towards me with a peachy pair of shoes in one hand and some accessories in the other hand. "Camilla, you're taller and slimmer than me, so that dress should fit you perfectly. I didn't wear that dress before because it was a bit tight on me and I wasn't well enough but I suppose now it's perfect just for you. These are brand-new shoes. I don't know your shoe size so you should try if these fit you," she muttered whilst shoving the shoes into my hands and handing the accessories to her maids.
The way she was going on about this made me think that if she was in the modern world she should definitely try to be a fashion designer.
I chuckled and placed the shoes on the ground to try them. It fit me perfectly well. It wasn't too loose or too tight. It was perfect. "So?" Lexi asked as I nodded. Her eyes seemed to light up but I was going to fall soon. These shoes were highly healed. They weren't too high but I haven't worn heels for ages so I was a bit clumsy with them. Lexi walked over to help me and that's when I noticed she too was wearing heels. Gosh heals really do damage growing feet.
"Lexi, maybe you should give her a pair of shoes that doesn't have any heels on them," suggested the grand duke as he watched me wobble about. "Father, I would give her it, if I have any. But I don't. And it's too late to go to a shop and buy one. So Camilla just has to try to deal with it. I'm sure she can do it," explained Lexi. Damn, she really doesn't have a single shoe that isn't heals. "Can you do it, Camilla?" Uncle Robert asked. "Well I've to try," I replied as he nodded. "That's the spirit. There is always a first for everything," Lexi uttered.
