Camilla's POV:
I woke up bright early in the morning and got myself dressed. Walking downstairs I realised that someone woke up, even more, earlier and had left me a fried egg. I smiled at the thought and looked around. Nobody was here though. I guess it was probably a kind gesture from the butler because I know for sure that Ryan and Damian do not know how to fry an egg. Come on Ryan grew up rich and as for Damian he never learnt to cook. I sat down and hurriedly ate the egg as I was quite hungry. ahh, this egg would do so much better with a soya source. Uhh, I do miss the invention in my world. I wonder if I can ever go back.
Not long after I finished my egg and was preparing to wash it, however, the butler whisked it away from me before I got a chance. I looked at him smiled and uttered "I can wash it myself. There's no need to trouble you,". The butler shook his head and replied, "Young miss, you need not be so courteous with me. It is my job to look after you. And besides the Grand Duke has ordered that you ain't allowed to do any heavy work from now on,". I stood there looking flabbergasted and watched as the butler walked away. Wait Uncle Robert did WHAT? My life was just getting a bit more interesting and now he's telling me not to cook. But I enjoyed baking. I was gonna get back into it. Uhh my lord.
I sat back down and immediately my brain had a change of thoughts. Before I was thinking about how to convince Uncle Robert to allow me to cook however now my thoughts trail to Lexi Olivia Ellis. The grand duke and his beloved wife's only daughter. According to the plot, when Lexi and Camilla met they hit it off well because they both had one thing in common. It was that they loved to bully the weak. To be honest, when I read about Lexi I thought that she was quite a sad child. Her father hardly loves and hates the sight of her because she reminds him of his lost wife. Imagine how the daughter would feel to know that their father didn't love her but ended up giving his attention and care to a random stranger who had no relations with her. At first, Lexi was quite nice to Damian however she soon got jealous. Hence Lexi ended up bullying Damian and also aided Princess Camilla in bullying the heroine Eveline. Perhaps now that I am Camilla then I might be able to make sure Lexi won't bully Damian. For this to happen I have to mend their father-and-daughter relationship with the time I'm there.
"Camilla? Camilla?" somebody shouted as they woke me up from my line of thoughts. It was Ryan that douc bag. "What's up?" I asked looking at Ryan. He smiled, sat next to me and replied "Oh nothing. I can't seem to remember right now?". I glared at him and watched him walk into the kitchen to find some food. He came out holding a plate of fried eggs and some water in a glass. Wow is he drinking tap water? Don't nobles think that tap water is too disgusting for them to drink? I mean that's what aristocrats thought in my world. Maybe it's different here. Ryan must've noticed me staring because he replied "It's well water,". Oh, of course, I forgot that there aren't any taps here and usually everyone drank from a well or the local river.
I got up and walked away from him towards the kitchen. I noticed that the kitchen's back door was open, Eh who's out there at this time? I walked outside and saw a young man with silver hair fluttering in the wind as he stood under the apple tree. What a pretty sight. He is the male protagonist. He was facing the other way so he didn't realise I was behind him until I tap his shoulder. He turned around to face me and he looked surprised to see me outside. It was quite windy and I had left my cloak inside. he must've noticed me shivering because he draped his cloak on top of me. I wrapped myself inside it and muttered thanks. Why was he being so kind to me today? We stood there in silence standing underneath the apple tree gazing at the soon-to-be sunrise. We woke up too early... "This is the first sunrise we've ever seen together," I muttered, Damian nodded in reply. Hopefully, we will be able to enjoy the sunrise together again.
