"Anna! Anna!" someone shouted as I turned my head around. It was a little girl maybe 6 or 7 years old. "What's wrong," I asked smiling. She placed her hand on her chest and began panting and huffing. We were in the living room so I grabbed some water for her to drink. After she hastily gulped the water down she replied "Damian is in trouble...". I jumped up and shouted, "Why didn't you say so earlier?" I began running towards the door as the little girl hastily ran after me. I stopped at the end of the corridor to wait for the girl. I didn't know where he was. She ran up to me and began explaining, " I heard Leon and James talking about how Dylan kidnapped Damien on his way to the canteen. They've taken him to the old warehouse filled," Leon and James were one of Dylan's loyal henchmen. I'm surprised that they were talking about Dylan. Holding my thought I turned to the young girl thanked her and rushed over to the warehouse.
When I reached the warehouse I was so tired that I had to stay outside just to grab some air. I stood right outside ears dropping on Dylan. He was talking to one of his henchmen about how annoying Damian was. 🙄 Why do they even hate him that much? In my memory, they never even crossed paths before coming to the orphanage. The orphanage itself is already corrupted. The director takes all the charity money they receive from donors and uses it on themselves. So shouldn't the kids in the orphanage also help each other out?
As I was lost in thought I failed to hear someone shouting. When I heard the noises I immediately burst the door open. Everyone's faces looked at me as my pupils darted around trying to find my target... Ah spotted. Damian seemed alright except his face was a bit swollen. Dylan and his gang seemed to have a look of surprise on their face. I smiled at them and ran to Damian. "Are you alright?" I asked whilst holding his hand. He winched a bit but nodded after a while.
"So what brings you here?" Dylan asked whilst smirking. I rolled my eyes at him and helped Damian to stand up. I carried him all the way towards the door as he leaned towards me. Dylan gestured towards his henchman and they blocked the exit. I turned my head at Dylan and asked "What is the meaning of this?". He laughed but said nothing. I glared at him and asked, "Why do u keep on bullying Damian? He didn't even provoke you,". He looked at me and turned his head away. His henchman replied for him. I think his name was Marco. "Anna, are you that naive? Everyone in the orphanage knows that Boss likes you. Only you never realised it. But when Damian first arrived here, you said he was handsome. Obviously Boss would give him a hard time," Marco explained.
I looked at him and laughed. Why did he explain it as if all his actions were right? Hearing me laugh Dylan turned his head towards me and asked "Why are you laughing,". I slowly turned towards him and noticed that he had tears in his eyes. I stopped laughing as I kinda felt bad for him. I was rejected once by him... I know the feeling of rejection. " Look I'm sorry for laughing but I don't actually believe you like me. And besides, I'm only 10. I have no interest in starting a relationship before I reach a teenager," I replied wiping the tears that fell on my face when I was laughing. Dylan turned away from me and gestured for his henchman to let us go. I helped Damian up again and proceeded to walk towards the door. Before leaving the door I shouted, " Just because I think Damian is handsome doesn't mean I like him. There's a big difference between complimenting someone's appearance and actually liking that person,". And at that, I walked out of the warehouse and headed toward the medical room.
