Jeff pursed his lips looking unhappy and Amy cocked a brow at his look. He sighed, saying nothing taking his look to the water. She nudged him with her elbow. "What can I even say to make you feel better?" was he pouting?
Amy didn't hold back, she burst laughing until her stomach hurt then wiped her imaginary tears and sighed satisfied. "Well, you could say you love me, or I don't know…" She wasn't even done speaking when Jeff leaned to kiss her making her eyes widen. "Geez, Jeff patience." She inhaled a little dramatically when he pulled out for air.
"I was thinking of having five children and her eyes widened in horror sending Jeff into fits of laughter. She swatted his hand but he pulled her closer and rested his chin on the crown of her head.
Amy sighed as her eyes fell to the shimmering water. "My mother would have loved you," she said quietly and Jeff squeezed her hand comfortingly.
