The drive was silent and very awkward, no one was talking, no sound except the engine running. This was the most awkward drive ever since she married Jeff. Damn, she couldn't do this. "So, when am I being set free from all of this?"
In some situations, closing her mouth would have been a better option and she was well aware of it. Jeff gave her a brief look and continued driving, took a turn as they got into the city, then the car came to a halt in front of an ice cream parlor. Amy turned to Jeff. What were they doing in front of an ice cream parlor? "Get what you like." He dropped his hands on the steering wheel and leaned back on his chair.
"Pardon?" Were her ears working well? Oh no, she had lost it for real.
