Mrs. Bills got home and found her son preparing to leave. "Mother, I have been looking for you."
She made a face and placed her bag on the table. "I was at Jeff's villa."
Oliver's face filled with worry. "Mother did that woman do anything to you?" he searched his mother's body for any sign of abuse.
Mrs. Bills placed her hands akimbo. "No wonder that girl doesn't like you. She is harmless; in fact, she is very open, honest, and straightforward."
Oliver scoffed. "She fooled you mother; she is not what you think she is…"
Mrs. Bills cut him. "Nonsense, I am a psychiatrist and I studied psychology and I know people when I see them. Just because someone is covered in bruises doesn't mean the person necessarily got in a fight. Tell Jeff that he has a jewel for a wife and I only hope he opens his eyes before it's too late."
She left for her room before Oliver could speak.
