Ash' POV
I didn't know why Keenan was behaving like that but I didn't have the strength to be thinking about that. But the more I tried to forget about him, the harder it becomes.
"What is wrong with this guy? One minute he wants to talk and the other, he's in a hurry to leave ", I mouthed to myself before laying down on the bed. Just as sleep was about to take over my senses, my phone began to ring. I lazily picked it up to see who was calling and to my surprise, it was Keenan .
"What is?"I quickly asked immediately I picked up the call.
"Are you sleeping?", he questioned back.
"Just about to take some nap before your call came", I answered.
"Sorry about that….Urhm, can I meet you tonight, just to talk", he sounded a bit down.
"I can't meet you, there's class tomorrow "
"Come on Ash, tomorrow is Saturday. Or are you avoiding me?", his voice sounded distressed. It's true I was trying to avoid him but I clearly forgot the next day was a Saturday.
"I'm not trying to avoid you, I just need some personal space"
"It won't take long, just ten minutes would be okay, please Ash", he pleaded and I couldn't possibly refuse him.
"Fine. Ten minutes. Location?", I gave up.
"I'd pick you up at 8", was the reply I got from him before the call ended.
He didn't give me the location or information about where he wanted to take me to but I just had trust in him and thought it wasn't needed for me to be thinking too much.
I called Ana on phone and asked her to bring me supper in my room since I was feeling too lazy to and tired to walk downstairs, which she did without questions and I was glad for that.
After finishing my food, I took my bath and slipped into my oversized purple hoodie and a pair of short jeans. Just wanted to look simple. Keenan's call came through while I was brushing my hair which I picked hurriedly.
"Are you ready?", he asked immediately I picked.
"Yeah, just brushing my hair. Are you here?", I answered and followed with a question.
"Yeah, I'm already behind your gate", he said.
"Okay. I'd be there in a bit", I told him and hanged up. I dropped the brush, took my little purse and phone and headed out.
"Ana, I'd be back in a bit ",I informed her before storming out.
"Just be safe", I heard her yell from behind.
Keenan's car was parked outside the compound so I just walked straight to settle in .
"I'm here, you can talk now", I didn't have the patience to wait any longer.
"Can I take you to a place?", he asked and I gave him a confused stare.
"Isn't that going to be more than ten minutes?", I asked him looking through the window searching for something I don't know.
"Let me just buy some minutes of your time", he said and I just remained silent.
He took my silence as a yes and started driving away. The drive was very silent and the road he was taking also looked very familiar. A sense of deja vu hit me as we kept moving along the quiet road but I just kept it to myself. I noticed Keenan kept stealing glances at me from time to time but I ignored him since I wasn't in quiet a good mood.
The quiet long drive finally came to and end when he stopped at an incomplete building.
"Have I been here before?", I asked him since the deja vu struck me again, but this time it was stronger.
"Just come with me", he said shortly stretching his hand for me to take, which I did. We passed climbed dusty stairs through o the third floor of the building before coming across a chair and a rope. It's position looked like someone was tied to it before it was released. My head started hurting and lots of images kept displaying in it and I wondered if I was going crazy.
