A ray of the sun passed thruogh the window blinds which shone brightly on Toku's face, interrupting Toku's sleep. It was already morning, with the sun just rising over the horizon. Toku sluggishly woke up and sat down upright on his bed, last night before Toku had gone to bed Antonio had given him a tour of the house so he was now sleeping in one of the two bedrooms in the house, with Antonio sleeping in the next. Getting up from the bed, he stretched a little and walked out of the bedroom he was sleeping in, opening the door Toku saw Antonio already sitted on a couch in the sitting room using what looked to be pad.
" hurry up kid we don't have all day, ITI will open in a few hours and from here to ITI is actually a little far, so go and freshen up so that we can be on our way" Antonio said without turning his head to look at Toku, he had already sensed Toku was awake before he even opened the door. Toku just knodded as he rubbed his sleepy eyes before going to the bathroom. After a few minutes, Toku was all done freshening up and was ready for the day, coming out from his room after changing to the cloths his aunt bought for him, he saw that Antonio was still sitting on the couch using the pad which made some noises once in a while " You done kid?, alright lets go and grab a bite" Antonio said as he stood up, dropped the pad on the sofa and walked towards the door with Toku following after.
Coming out of the apartment, Toku noticed that the sun was already above the horizon with it's ray of light brightening the whole place, different people came out of other apartments and they all greeted Antonio as they passed by him to which Antonio just knodded or bowed his head a little. They both stopped at where Antonio's convertible was parked which now had a roof covering it, they both entered inside and Antonio once again said the magic words "start"
VROOOOOOOM
Although Toku had seen this happen before he still marvelled at the fact that Antonio could start the car by just casually saying 'start'. After starting the car they drove off to the restaurant at the left side of the house "you aren't going to cook today? " Toku asked as he noticed that they were going in the direction of the restaurant "Tsk.....kid I'm not your cook neither am I your nanny, I only cooked last time because there wasn't any restaurant around" Antonio replied in a somewhat angry tone
"huh...but I really liked your cooking, I think you are better fitted to be a cook rather, than being a general at the border" Toku said as teased Antonio a little
Hearing this, Antonio starred at Toku with a slightly angered expression and he then 'mistakenly' released a bit of his aura. Toku froze up in place as he felt Antonio's aura, he then started sweating lightly, and he had a scared expression plastered on his face. When he was still in the forsaken realm, he had met many people with and had felt different auras even his aunt Lizzy had one, but this was the first time he had felt one that made him freeze up, he felt a shiver go down his spine and also cold sweat ran down his back, he also found it hard to breath a little. All this just reminded Toku of the vast difference between those in the forsaken realm and those in the city.
Seeing Toku drenched in his own sweat, Antonio smiled " well if I wasn't a general at the border, you won't be here right now" Antonio said as he retracted his aura. Toku could finally breath well again, he just knodded in reply to what Antonio said and remained silent for the rest of the journey, he wasn't sure if the next sentence coming out from his mouth would upset Antonio, so he decided to play it safe by shutting his mouth up.
They soon got to the restaurant, it was a building that was well furnished with tables and around the tables were chair. The restaurant was well decorated with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling which mildly lighted up the place, which provided a calm and cool atmosphere for relaxing. Towards the end of the building, there was a counter with a woman standing behind it, who was attending to some customers. After waiting in line for some time, it was finally their turn and after placing their order and paying, they sat at an empty table and ate their breakfast. They finished eating after five minute due to them ordering a simple meal of coffee for Antonio and tea for Toku which they ate with some bread, and were off towards the Integrated Training Institute.
After driving for sometime and taking some turns here and there, they finally arrived at their destination, the Integrated Training Institute of Graton's city. After performing some authentications and clarification, they drove in and parked at the parking lot. Coming out of the car, the first thing that caught Toku's attention was a raised podium and on that podium were five statues, which were situated in front of a very huge building. The statues were made out of what looked to be like gold but it was glittering like a daimond while being bathed in the rays of the sun. These statues were arranged in such a way that four were standing behind one which looked to be a man with his hands held behind his back while standing in an at eased position. The four other golden statues consisted of two men and two women, and stood over eighteen meters high, if one stood at the foot of the podium, they won't necessarily be able to see the top without shading their eyes, they gave of this feeling of valour, respect and awe to anyone who looked at them.
"What are those?..." Toku asked while still looking at the statues with awe in his eyes, just looking at the statues made him feel strong and brave.
" Those are the heroes of humanity, who every individual should strive to be like" Antonio said with traces of respect found in his voice.
"Heroes! what did they save humanity from?...." Toku asked Antonio, he had never heard anything about heroes while he was at the forsaken realm, so he was really interested in it.
" Don't worry they will tell you all about it, while your here, lets just get you enrolled and get this over with" Antonio dodged the question and began walking along a part that leads to a building not too far away from the golden statues, not being able to get any answer, Toku could only follow Antonio as he walked along the same path.
