He was never a man with emotions, but that changed when she met her. "You must find a woman soon," everyone told him. But he kept on waiting, for he wanted what his brother had found. He wanted love that would make him so stupid, that he would throw away everything; his duties, his land. He wanted the kind of love that would make him think that banishment was an adventure.
"Master Connor," a knock came at the door. With each passing day, his work has only increased. Audrey was standing there.
"Did I doze off again?" Connor rubbed his eyes, annoyed. The whole country was in turmoil now. Monsters of old and new are rising, and because of that, people have started to question the throne's power.
"Yes my lord," Audrey said. From the looks of it, it seemed that Connor had a good rest in a long time. "I suggest you get some get some sleep," he advised.
"I can't," he scratched his cheek. "Not when the whole country is in turmoil."
