Sophia felt the guilt; the guilt of being the only one to go through the ritual. She felt guilty about taking the words and being not able to chant them. She wanted to say them, she wanted to scream them out, but they got stuck to her throat like hard stones. They pricked her body like thin needles. Ice and kill: those were the only words that she could squeeze out. Two grim words.
Luna, Teresa and Gloria were distraught. They saw a woman kill herself; a woman who went through similar pain as them. They were anxious, for they were still weak and there was no one to give them the power they needed.
