Across the door that Ken lead them, was a dark hallway. "Careful," Ken told behind. They stumbled forward with their arms held in front. Valora saw a flicker of light at the end of the hallway.
They came into a cold, damp room. Valora saw an oil lamp hung on the wall ahead. Iron barred cells lined her sides. The inside of the cells was dark and empty with rough stone floors.
"Most of the merchandise has been sold to good customers," Ken said awkwardly.
"We only have two right now, but I promise you, they are of the highest quality," Ken pointed to the cell in the end.
'Living like this is- not right,' Valora bit her lips in frustration.
Valora stopped in front of the cell with the girls behind her. Her fingers rolled around the cold iron bars. She looked inside and two shadows lying on unevenly cut stone benches.
"Open this cell," her voice was authoritative.
