"What?" Alden shouted.
"Not everyone, just two or three that have shown promise," Valora said softly.
"Did you save them to feed them back to the monsters?" Alden will not have it.
"I will be with them, Alden. And besides, we cannot protect them forever. I will take only the ones that want to come," Valora consoled Alden.
Alden's eyes teared up. "I have only heard what those girls went through, you have seen it. Still, why do you want to do this? I have lost my husband and I am barely holding myself."
"It is because I have seen it. I want them to take their freedom back on their own," Valora's voice was grim.
"But they are safe here."
"Safety and freedom are not the same. Sophia still can't speak."
"And you think taking her in front of a monster will help?" Alden countered.
Alden knew the talk about helping and freedom was all fake. It was for vengeance.
