IVOR
"I…"
I grappled for words… at least just to say something. To stay silent while Neil was waiting for an answer is worse. I know being silent is my own way of permitting him to punch me instead.
"I'm still fixing it." – finally, words.
"fixing it how? By having sex? Dude… you really are something else."
I gulped. He had every reason to call me anything right now and I won't be offended. I can, but I have no right to be. I totally understand. I feel like a helpless kid right there, standing in front of Neil with tongue tied.
"your wedding's in less than two months. You cannot delay this."
I was nodding. There was nothing he can say that I didn't know yet. I know, I know pretty well. Also, I already made a choice. Right that morning when I woke up and I confirmed it today when I saw that look on Dana's face through the rearview mirror. I knew she's all I ever wanted. She'll forever be that girl to me.
