DANA
I came back to the car where Neil was waiting. The windows were rolled down and rock music was blaring through the speakers. It's nice that he chose to have fun while I was away battling with my heart's emotions.
He opened the door to the passenger's seat from inside.
"everything okay?" – Neil asked over the deafening music
I was laughing in my head. it's Ivor and me. When has everything became okay with us? It has always been a journey filled with sticks and stones. But, he didn't need to know that now so I nodded. I can't lie, remember? So I guess an affirmative gesture doesn't count as lying. I guess.
"good. Let's go."
And into his car I did sit down. Neil reached over the front to adjust the volume of the radio. It was tolerable now, no more deafening drums and shrieking voices which I think perfectly echoes my thoughts at the moment. Total chaos. Mental storms. Doom.
