Ria was quiet after that event. There had been no interaction between me and Dana. Right after the event, I escorted her to the car and told her we'll have a dinner date. I didn't even look once to see what Dana was doing by then. I did all of those for Ria, so I don't get why there's a cold air in the car right now. And I am certain it wasn't the air conditioner that made that happen.
"what do you want to eat, baby?"
Me, trying to break the ice that built up on the tiny gap between the driver's and the passenger's seat. She turned her face from the window and licked her lips.
"it's up to you. I'm still full from lunch by the way."
