At this point, I guess I need to introduce myself.
My name isn't something you can find at the bottom of an ice cream cup for a contest or something of that sort. Of my 25 years of existence, I haven't met someone with the same name as mine. I don't think I'll ever will. And it's one of the things I love about it. That I'm distinctive. I'm one of a kind.
The point is, I wasn't from here. I'm the town's new girl, starting a new job as an English teacher on the high school premises. There's only one high school here so it wasn't that hard to find me a place that's only a walking distance from the school. As for the work, I haven't started yet. I would be, two days from now.
