NEIL
I don't understand, really.
She's now taken my seat while I was standing in front of her in my own office. I was crossing my arms, lost for the thought that the seats are now opposite, her authoritativeness again sprang forth from her demeanor.
"someone hacked my designers' files for our annual fashion show. You were there the other day, in my personal office, opening my laptop. If you look at it logically, there's nothing else that can be interpreted other than you being a suspect. Did you do it?"
Information overload. The things she said were all untrue. My brain processed what she said, one by one, word after word, and I finally got what she was saying. She was accusing me of coming to her office and stealing her files, something I would not do.
She thinks I did it, right? how come?
"you're thinking I did it?"
"it sure looks like it to me."
