DANA
All the nerves on my body jumped. The office phone was on the floor now, broken into three pieces. I stood up and picked them up while Ivor was standing in front of me, shocked at his own doing.
Silently, I placed the three pieces of the phone on the table, my hands were slightly shivering.
"what was that?!" – I asked Ivor.
"I… "
"what's that, Ivor? Why did you react like that?"
He looked at me, and his jaws locked. Clearly that wasn't nothing. He wouldn't just react like that for petty reasons.
I crossed both my arms on my chest, waiting for him to give me a credible and valid answer. I didn't like that. My father don't scream nor react on a state of anger. I am not designed to deal with sudden outbursts… and I won't be settling with it.
"Ivor… we will not leave this room until we get the answer off your chest. That wasn't nothing, I know. What's the matter?"
"it's Neil."
Two words.
