IVOR
As much as it pains me to tell her that I have to leave and stay home for the next couple of days, I knew I had to. Also, on second thought, I kind of feel like this is the part where we have to have a little distance from each other. To adjust. Especially for her, maybe I've been all over her for the past days that I am starting to invade her personal space.
"still working?" – I asked
"yeah. Had to make up for what happened recently." – she said and went to the faucet to put down the glass on the side.
"I understand… but please don't be so hard on yourself, okay? have some breaks every now and then. Take a nap. Whatever you do, don't forget to rest. You need that, too."
She nodded and thinned her lips. I stood there and watched as she turned around and went to the door. But just before she can step out, I knew I need to speak up. I knew I need to empty it out before I can actually decide to leave.
