That night, everyone else in the house went out for a grocery. There was a near supermarket uptown, as what Ivana said. By 8pm, she and her parents were getting out of the house, borrowing Ivor's car. I was sitting on the couch still, Ivor on the door, leaning in to wave goodbye to his family. When the headlights started and drove towards the gate, I was left with the fact that for a couple of hours, I would be here with no one else but Ivor, which is fine, if only he didn't see me cry earlier because I was overthinking.
He finally closed the door and locked it. Before they went out, we had dinner of beef stock soup and grilled squid. Unlike what happened during lunch, dinner was quieter. I bet it was because they were planning to get out to the supermarket that they saved time.
"are you tired today?" – suddenly, Ivor was beside me. no, not really beside me. There was a justified amount of space between us.
"yes. Kind of. You?" – I asked back
