DANA
He kissed me. And I let him. It was longer than a second, three or five seconds maybe, but it felt like no time has passed. It wasn't my first kiss obviously, but there was something different about this one that I haven't felt before on previous kisses I had with… well, with Neil.
It was me who let go, finally realizing how foolish the night has become. I opened my eyes and his was looking at me: dilated, shocked and embarrassed. What the heck just happened?
"I…" – he was stuttering
"if you're sorry, then I forgive you." – I said
But then I realized I was also to be blamed. It takes two to tango, as they say. Not to mention the fact that I also kissed him back the whole time. He moved a little away, giving me space…literally. The crickets continued to sound, filling the gap of silence that was the aftershock of the stupid kiss.
