The day's afternoon is so bright like never before as the weather condition was normal, looking up,you can see the sun smiling to the face of mankind.
"Raynell where are you" shouted Mrs parker.
"Am in my room" answered Raynell.
"You're still in your room by this time, don't you know we're late for the party" said mrs parker.
"Am sorry mom,just give me few minutes and I'll be with you" said Raynell.
"You know you're a part of the reason for the gathering today" said Mrs Parker.
"I know mom I said I'll be through very soon" said Raynell.
"just be fast" said Mrs Parker.
"Here I am mom let's go" said Raynell.
"What kept you so long in the room?" asked Mr parker.
"I thought I said I was sorry already. said Raynell.
"That's not my question" said Mr parker framing annoyance.
"I lost my lip gloss,so I had to look for it till I finally found it under the bed,that's why I was late" said Raynell.
"Well get into the car let's go" ordered Mr Parker.
"We're two hours late already, all because of you said Mrs Parker.
"Please,can we just go" asked Raynell.
Few minutes later the car halted at the school garage, every where in the school compound was shining with different colours and beautiful decorations. The compound is filled with students and parents trooping in and out of the school compound.
"We welcome everyone who had honored our invitation. We held this party to congratulate some young kids with great intellect,Parker Raynell and Brooke smart.please let's clap for them as they come up on stage".Said the principal of high class college.
"These wonderful kids took an essay competition with different schools and different students of great intellect,and defeated them all.The principal was interrupted by an uproar from the students and parents.
The principal continued after the uproar died down.
"These kids did not only participate in this competition,they also had high scores and were among the first three students that came out best". The principal paused his speech to let the last word sink into the head of the audience.These kids also brought back two trophies to this school,thereby making the school,the parents and the students proud. Please let's clap for them once again."Continued the principal after another uproar.
"And therefore we have decided to Honour them and give each of them a scholarship through out their stay in this school,and their university levels" said the principal.
The clap arise again,this time it was louder.
"Let's rise as we take a toast as a sign of honour to these kids and on the trophy" said the principal as he lifted the cup above his head,and the audience followed.
"Cheers to them" said the principal.
"Cheers to them" the audience repeated.
"Your dress is beautiful" said smart to Raynell.
"Thanks I appreciate" replied Raynell.
"Hi guys" said vanessa and eddi.
"Hi" replied Raynell and Smart.
"Wow you guys are really shining" said Vanessa.
"Thanks and you guys too"said Raynell and Smart.
"Can I take a look at your trophy?" asked Vanessa.
"Sure you can have it"replied Raynell.
"Guess what guys" said Smart
"What?" they asked confused.
"My parents are also hosting a party at our house" said Smart
"Why?" asked Eddi
"To celebrate our victory of course" replied Smart.
"Wow that's nice of them"said Raynell.
"You guys are really favoured" said Eddi.
"What do you mean?" asked Vanessa.
"Three party has been held because of them,they have been awarded a scholarship,and of all has been given a trophy" said Eddi.
"ya that's true,am feeling bad right now" said Vanessa in a low tone.
"You guys don't have to feel bad" said Smart.
"Why do you say so?" asked Eddi.
"Cause no one knows,tomorrow may be for you to rejoice and laugh" said Smart.
"Well I hope this words will comfort us" said Eddi.
"I just want to be every where on the internet like you guys" said Vanessa.
"What are you talking about?" asked Smart
""Your pictures are now every where on social media" said Vanessa.
"Lets just forget every thing she said for now,cause I believe they're all jokes" said Raynell.
"Are you guys kidding me?or do I look like I was joking when I said it" asked Vanessa.
"She might be saying the truth,can't you see how serious she is" said Smart.
"But we're also serious" said Raynell.
"we don't know what your talking about" said Eddi.
"Nor have we seen or heard about it" said Smart.
"Just check your internet and see for yourselves" said Vanessa.
"Wow it's true"Said Raynell.
"You guys are now like all those popular musicians we see on the internet" said Eddi.
"As you can see for sure we are" said Smart.
"That means am a genius" said Raynell.
"No you're quoting it wrong" said Smart.
"No!, why not and what is the right word? asked Raynell.
"Remember it's not just you but we are a genius" said Smart.
"We are a genius,hmmm that's right" said Raynell.
"See you guys are really favoured,and I wish I was in your shoes" said Eddi.
"Your parents will be so proud of you guys" said Vanessa.
"Yes you're right,they'll be proud of us" said Smart.
"My dad especially,will be glad to hear it" said Raynell.
"Congratulations to you guys, we're also proud of you" said Eddi.
"And we will always rejoice with both of you" said Vanessa.
"Thanks to both of you" said raynell and Smart.
"Please you guys should excuse me,I'll be back in a minute" said Raynell.
"Where are you heading to" asked Eddi.
"Am going to share the news with my family of course" said Raynell.
"And me too, I almost forgot" said Smart.
"No problem you guys can go ahead it's your day" said Vanessa.
"Bye,see you guys later" said Eddi.
" Wait raynell you've left your trophy behind" shouted Vanessa running after her and leaving eddi all to himself.
