8. "Where there's a hole, there's a way!"
[Present time.]
"Ah!"
A man with a muscular physique abruptly woke up from his bed, his body partially exposed. With his blue hair, blue eyes, and pale white skin resembling jade, the man possessed a handsome appearance. However, his current expressions were far from attractive. Fear, a fierce intent to kill, and tears dominated his face.
"What's wrong, Kevin?"
A concerned, feminine voice asked. The voice was like honey, sweet and seductive, yet youthful.
A woman in her underwear queried Kevin, who appeared restless.
"Haa... haa... it's the same dream again," Kevin replied.
Embracing Kevin from behind and pressing her feminine attributes against his back, the woman continued speaking.
"Hmm... Kevin, you should consider taking medication or visiting a life magician. If this continues, it will impede your ability to live a fulfilling life."
Ever since the incident in the brown town, Kevin had been plagued by recurring dreams of Andrew's death scene. The final words Andrew spoke to him were etched into Kevin's soul. It was a traumatizing dream, and even though two years had passed, the pain lingered.
A mechanical male voice resonated in Kevin's mind. It was Kevin's system.
[Can't you assist me with this, Michael?]
Kevin inquired about the system.
Michael responded firmly.
[Haaa... fine... I'll visit a life magician or a high priest.]
Kevin understood Michael's reasoning.
"Thank you for your concern, Amaya. Let's make an appointment with a life magician or a high priest tomorrow," Kevin said as he planted a kiss on the woman's lips.
Following that brief exchange, Amaya blushed.
"Hm."
She gave him a slight nod, reciprocating his advances, and displayed a happy smile.
The woman who shared Kevin's bed was Amaya Fluger, the third princess born to the second wife of King Fluger.
Yes, Kevin was involved in an intimate relationship with a princess of the kingdom, albeit the third princess. While Amaya had not yet given her virginity to Kevin, they had slept together, cuddling and sharing kisses on numerous occasions.
In the Fluger kingdom, it was considered a crime to engage in premarital sexual relations. After all, the women were devotees of the goddess of chastity. Any woman found to have violated this law would be excommunicated from society. Additionally, no man dared to force himself upon a woman, except for demons and their subordinates.
Because of the First Queen, the kingdom of Fluger had been bestowed with the divine blessing of the goddess of Chastity. As a result, anyone who violated this law, except for demons and those tainted by their influence, faced a fate worse than death, or so the people believed. To reinforce this belief, an example had been set eighteen years ago.
The Finnair family's tragic fate, reduced to ashes, served as a warning to those who had entertained thoughts of forcing themselves upon women. The king discovered the first demon expedition targeting Maxwell Finnair but swiftly buried the information. Why? To prevent chaos.
If news of this incident were to reach the public, the ensuing uproar would have been beyond the king's ability to control. Hence, he spread rumors of Maxwell's demise as the goddess's wrath, and the people readily accepted it. This was the reason why women in the kingdom withheld their chastity until marriage.
"If you are frustrated it's okay to stick it in my butt." Amaya seductively suggested to Kevin, who had once again retreated into his thoughts.
However, upon hearing Amaya's audacious proposition, Kevin responded, "It will cause you pain, you know? It might even lead to discomfort when sitting."
Upon hearing this, Amaya's body quivered slightly, her mind conjuring images of the challenges she might face while sitting due to a foreign object lodged in her backside. Kevin interpreted Amaya's reaction as fear and inwardly smiled, satisfied that his remark had worked. He then went back to sleep.
Unbeknownst to him, Amaya's trembling was not out of fear but sheer excitement. She longed to experience such an encounter, but she knew Kevin would never partake in such activities.
Throughout their time at the royal academy, Kevin's mind was consumed by thoughts of demons, demons, and more demons. Over the past two years, he had diligently studied all available information regarding demons within the human domain, excluding classified knowledge. He delved into demon rankings, habitats, dietary preferences, clans, and their various branches.
This extensive research was driven by his unwavering desire to eliminate every single demon in Ventra. One of the factors that drew him towards Amaya was her status as a princess of the kingdom.
When they first crossed paths, both individuals were as cold as ice and frequently clashed. However, thanks to the system, Kevin discovered a message revealing Amaya's true identity as the king's daughter. He decided to extend a friendly hand, which eventually led to their deepening bond and, as the story goes, love blossoming between them.
He gazed into her sapphire eyes, planted another gentle kiss on her lips, and drifted off to sleep. Amaya held him tightly, her thoughts echoing within.
"I never imagined resorting to love potions, but this feels incredible. Having someone as strong as him by my side... But alas, I yearn for something more adventurous."
What did Kevin mean to her? Was he a friend, a lover, a fiancé, or merely a plaything? She couldn't quite discern.
Within the confines of the academy, this boy was the sole individual who paid no heed to her allure and beauty. He didn't seek favor or flattery, unlike the other boys from noble families. Although her true identity remained concealed, her exquisite appearance and influential background were common knowledge.
This infuriated Amaya, prompting her to employ a love potion on him. The system refrained from intervening since it did not harm Kevin. And for some unknown reason, Amaya desired to keep him for herself, and so she did.
Within the academy, Kevin stood like an impenetrable wall. Strong, attractive, and indifferent, he resembled a hero engrossed solely in his duties. Yet, due to his occasional clumsiness, he was surprisingly vulnerable. But such trivial matters held no significance for Amaya. She wanted Kevin, and she had claimed him as her own. That was all that mattered.
"I hope you grow even stronger. Once we are married, you won't need to rely on such pleasures. You can have so much more," she mused, her thoughts gradually taking a lewder turn. She acknowledged her own wickedness, snuggling closer against Kevin's chest.
[Logan's POV]
"Damn this nonsense," I muttered. The knowledge about demons was simply overwhelming. It extended beyond just demons—it encompassed this entire world. My feeble brain and weary soul struggled to process this influx of information. And on top of that, there was this system and this frail demon body.
"What kind of worthless bastard was this Logan..." I grumbled as I delved into Logan's memories. The more I delved, the more I yearned for my life back on Earth. I didn't care what Logan did, but this demon was utterly useless. He neglected his duties, was lazy, and to top it off, he even rejected the females his father sent him! What an ugly bastard!
My frustration stemmed from the fact that demons had the opportunity to awaken random affinities or obtain a power boost through dual cultivation. And this fool rejected those fairies! Although they may not have been stunningly beautiful, they were women, for crying out loud! There's even a saying: "Where there's a hole, there's a way!"
I let out a sigh. "Haa... Because I'm truly the worst demon out there."
Well, whatever. Let me at least review the information.
