Logan waited patiently for Scarlet's response. He knew his threat would mean nothing if he wasn't useful to Scarlet. 'What will she do?' he wondered. However, Scarlet didn't make him wait for long.
"I see… So you can see beyond the tether too?" Scarlet murmured. It had been a long time since someone had piqued her interest. To her, Logan's existence was insignificant. But according to her contract with Danika, the dark elf queen, she was supposed to assist the hero who would rejuvenate their endangered race.
That hero was the one who had breached the barrier of the World Tree itself, a testament to his capabilities, even though the barrier itself was weak. Even if the human in front of her was unintelligent, he held the status of a Progenitor and even had two cores to boast about–one being a hero's core.
