Knock! Knock! Knock!
"Damnit!" Maiyu exclaimed loudly after hearing another knock on the door; this time accompanied by a feminine voice.
'Just the right distraction.' Tenji thinks sarcastically to himself as he looks at the door and then back at Maiyu.
Tenji sighed in relief before walking over to the door and opening it up; revealing professor Kenzie standing outside holding two cups of coffee.
She was dressed casually today wearing an oversized sweater that covered most of her body except for the bottom half of her legs and feet. She wore black leggings underneath along with some knee-high boots. She looked tired due to lack of sleep or maybe just because she hadn't slept much lately since her brother had gone missing after he went on a trip with some friends.
She then looked up at the couple and smiled nervously before saying, "I brought you coffee."
"Good morning, Kenzie," Maiyu greets her friend as she walks into the room, "I didn't know you were coming by."
