Jay winked at Alex as he tried to cheer him up. It was also his way to tell him that he too cared about him besides his family.
Alex smiled, his gratitude evident in his eyes, "I know, Jay. I know. That's why I need your help. Can you take me with you? I need some time away from all of this to think and come to terms with everything. I am also scared that I will reveal my secret in front of sister Rain and brother Zed if I stay near them with these turmoiled emotions of mine."
Jay understood Alex's worries. With a reassuring smile, he helped Alex to his feet, "of course," he said. "But first let's get you put of this desolate hallway. It's starting to get cooler these days. You might catch a cold."
Together, hand in hand they walked down the hallway heading towards Jay's apartment where Alex could gather his thoughts and final solace in midst of the storm that had suddenly entered his life.
