Jay sensed a hint of mockery in his boss' words, but swept it under the rug thinking it to be his wild imagination, "Well, I just tried my best." He gave a nervous chuckle at the end of his speech.
"I can see that. After all all those marks are screaming evidence of your excellent performance" Elliot mockingly smirked.
"What evidence?" Jay asked, his guilty conscience didn't do him any good as his words trembled as he blurted them out. It was at this time that he noticed his boss' meaningful glare at his neck region.
His heart thumped. A horrifying thought crossed his mind and he instantly pulled out his phone while he opened the front camera only to find bright red marks peeking out of his collar on display to the world.
His eyes widened, and a stunned expression crossed his face. He was sure that there were no marks there when he got ready in the morning for work.
