The Valley of Monsters, Dwarven Village, Five hours before Dark died.
"Chief! Other Villages' Chiefs have arrived."
It was a state of emergency in our valley. I, as the leader of this valley, couldn't overlook this situation at all. If the prophecy turned out be true, then there was no time to play around.
"Good, call them. Immediately!"
"Yes Chief!"
The room where the grand meeting was supposed to be held was just a plain cave. The only difference between a regular cave and this cave were the large table, chairs and many luminous lanterns.
"Chief, they are waiting for your orders."
"Send them in!"
"Yes sir!"
With just those commands, five individuals stepped inside the cave, one by one. The first one to enter was the Chief of the Beastmen tribe, Lion. He is a bold and tall Lion with intelligence.
"What is this all of a sudden, old man?"
Lion came in and took his seat. The second one to enter was the Chief of the Goblin Village, Gobo. He was known for his passion for wars and conflicts. The scars on his bare chest acted as the proof.
"It must be urgent, you stupid Cat."
"What did you say?!"
"Stop it! You two."
The third one was the Chief of the Lizardman tribe, Queen. She was the only woman among the chiefs, however, she was the strongest as well.
"Shut up, you reptile-woman! This is a battle between men."
"For this time only, I agree with this Green tree. Don't meddle!"
Smack smack
"What was that for?! Pride!"
Pride, the chief of the Ogres, was a very honest individual. He couldn't lie or cheat to anyone. But when it came to fighting, there was no one as ferocious as him.
"There is a serious issue going on and you two started fighting already!!!"
"Pride is correct! Executive, are we going to talk about the strange structure that appeared overnight?"
"You are sharp as always, Unicorn. All of you, have a seat!"
Unicorn, the chief of the Centaur Village was the most intelligent among the chiefs. He could make strategies in seconds. To compare, he was almost as talented as Void.
Lion and Gobo calmed down and everyone took their associated seats. Without any delay, the meeting started.
The Throne Room,
"Let's go on an errand, Void. I will personally look around this valley."
"As you wish, Lord Achut."
"Reverse Summon!"
Gedes disappeared from Achut's shoulders. He got up from his throne and walked away.
"My Lord, My orders?"
"Oh! Mr One, go and build something for the beasts that Kanxi tamed."
"Forgive my rudeness but may I know your preferences, My Lord."
"Hmm, something like an enclosure. No, whatever you make, just make sure that the beasts can't escape. Take help from Arab to finish it quickly."
"As you wish, My Lord."
"Let's go, Void! Teleportation!"
I teleported outside the Throne Room. Using the flying magic, I could stand on air just like I did on solid ground. From this height, I could see the magnificent view of my house. There were no damages sustained and everything was normal.
I saw hundreds of Death Knights patrolling the boundaries of the Ruins. Even though the view was magnificent, the rotating disc's shadow ruined the Ruins' beauty.
'Well, can't help it. Without the disc, I can't move the Ruins at all. I should probably think about a different way for moving the Ruins. Can think about it later, can't I? After that tiresome discussion, my mind has gone numb.'
Achut thought.
"Void, where is the Dwarven Village? Can you sense it?"
"Yes, My Lord. The strongest individuals in the entire valley have gathered at the same place northwest from here. There are six strong individuals and a weak one."
It was strange. All of the the strongest individuals, those who rule this land—to gather at the same place was very suspicious. Either way, I decided to visit them and say hello.
(They are scared from him XD)
I looked at him!! And before I knew it, he was already thinking about the possible reason for their meeting.
'Ah~, How intelligent is he? What a perfect Lord!! Just when will his magificance stop. Wait, Lord Achut may be stronger than the Gods! That means I have to work hard.'
Void thought.
"Lord Achut, is something the matter? Does something bother you?"
"Yeah, don't you find it strange?"
"As expected of Lord Achut. I do find this very strange. Why would the rulers of this land meet all of a sudden? And to make it even more suspicious, they are all at the same place."
'He never disappoints me. This Void, how did I create him? Did I make some mistake while creating him? If so then I have to know which mistake. Then I can create an army of Einsteins.' Achut thought.
'Well, let's just go and visit them. They can't to anything to us.'
(Einstein is synonymous to the word Genius.)
"Let's go! Void."
"Yes. I am right behind you, My Lord."
We both went for the Dwarven Village. If what I sensed was correct, the 6 leaders are inside an underground cave and one is on top. But why would one of the leaders get left behind.
The answer to that question, I will soon find out.
After a few minutes of flying, we finally arrived at our destination, The Dwarven Village.
Dwarves, also known for their passion and talent for caving, lead this valley for some reason. They were supposed to be the weakest of all the species.
Looking from the sky, all I could see were holes on the ground. Among those countless holes, there was one that was gigantic at the centre. That giant hole was surrounded by 3001 soldiers of different tribes.
"Lord Achut, that seems to be the place. I can sense 6 people inside that hole."
"Yeah, I know that. Let's go and talk to them."
"B-But Lord Achut, please let me go. I will negotiate with them."
"Why? Do you think that I am incompetent?!"
"How could I think like that? I was just worried about My Lord's safety."
"I'll be completely fine. If someone harmful shows up then I would gladly fight."
"Yes, My Lord. I am very sorry for doubting your strength."
I didn't expect Void to be so unnecessarily cautious. Why did he doubt me? Even though he understood my strength. Well, I couldn't ask him that. Even so, if someone strong showed up, I would fight a death match. Because I was bored of being strong.
We both descended to the ground. And the first thing that welcomed us was the army of the different tribes. All of them, pointed their weapons at us. We didn't even talk. We just landed only.
"You filthy creatures! How dare you point those weapons at My Lord?! I'll send you to hell!!"
"Void!!! Don't get so worked up!! It's fine."
"I-If you say so, My Lord."
"Let me talk to your commander. As long as you co-operate, your life is safe. But even think of doing something ridiculous."
My voice was intimidating however my face and dress weren't. Modifying my face was an option but it took too much time. So, I dropped it off. Soon, someone walked up to us. He carried a spear but---
"H-How?! What are you doing here?! Are you able to morph?!"
Not only Void, even I was shocked.
"Guests?"
"No, commander. They said they wanted to meet you."
"Meet me, huh?"
'He is the commander?!!'
I was utterly shocked. A human was the commander of these creatures. He was the first human I saw after a long time. But what was a human doing in a place full of enemies? The question was very natural but the answer wasn't.
I asked,
"What is a human doing here? And a commander? Is this some sort of joke?"
He walked up to me and said,
"Dear Gentlemen, I hate to say this but could you please leave this area immediately? There is an important meeting going on."
"You bastard!! Show some respect!!"
"It's okay, Void. Don't interfere."
Void backed off. The commander guy was not that strong but he was the strongest among the soldiers. In contrast to Mr One, he would be a piece of cake to kill.
"Do not worry about us. We are here to meet the village chiefs. We don't mean any harm. We just want to negotiate, Mr...err... commander?."
"I am very sorry for the late introduction. My name is Victor, the commander of the army of monsters. I believe negotiations are useless here. Don't you think that you are wasting your time?"
"Yeah, precisely. However, conflict is the last option that I choose. Cooperation and understanding between two parties is necessary first. Conflict is the last resort."
"No matter what option that both parties chooses, everything they do will lead to conflict eventually. Since, the stronger party always takes the lead. Could you please let me know which option we have chosen?"
"You are intelligent, I like you. Wanna join me?"
"I thank you for such an opportunity however I have already sworn my soul and body to this valley. So, I humbly decline."
"Ahahaha... interesting. It seems you know who I am. But why protect these creatures considered as monsters by your species?"
"I apologize to break this to you but I am not a human. Though I have hands, legs, face and a body of a human, I am not from my mind and heart. I gave up on it years ago. As for the question you asked, may I know your definition of monsters?"
"To tell you the truth, I am a monster. You can even say that I am the most terrifying monster you will ever see."
"To consider yourself as a monster, you have yet to explore the world."
The conversation was going smoothly. I felt happy that someone talked to me like an equal. Someone rejected my words, someone is fearless against me and I couldn't hold my happiness.
"You bastard!!! Enough is enough! Talk to him with respect! He is Lord Achut, the creator of those ruins!!!"
"Void!!! I said, don't interfere. Are you disobeying my order?"
"I am very sorry, My Lord. But I can't stand it."
"Then, stay quiet beside me."
"As you wish."
I got super angry. Void destroyed the flow of the conversation that was going so smoothly. I told him to stay 30 metres behind me. He flew back and just stood there like a monument.
"As expected, you were the master of that ruins."
"Ho. How did you know?"
"In all of honesty, I am shaking in my boots right now, from your presence. However, I have the duty to protect these people. I just can't abandon them."
"Ahahaha, you are funny."
"May I ask what is so funny about about it?"
"It's nothing. I was wondering how you get along with other species. You even called them people."
"You are new to this world, am I correct? It hasn't even been an hour since your arrival."
"Yeah, I am new to this world."
"That's why, you don't know anything about it. This world is more than it looks. Earlier, You called yourself a monster. Then, here is some great intel. This world, itself, is the greatest monster."
"What do you mean?"
"Conflicts, wars, hate, destruction—this world is filled with these things. Conflicts is like everyday hobby for countries and people. Even as we speak, there are countless people dying outside on a battlefield. I, myself, am a leftover from a war that took place here in this valley. I fought for my country and killed hundreds of enemies however, at the last moment they abandoned me to die here."
"Let me make this clear. I only seek peace and love. I hate conflicts and bloodbaths."
"Who would even dare to start a war with someone as strong as you? It would probably be a one-sided massacre from the start."
"Like I said, I hate killing people."
"Everyone says the same thing as you. The people seek wars over peace and the proof to that is our history. Our history of only conflicts, of only hate and only vengeance. Whenever someone gets a chance, they will kill without any second thoughts. People would even cannibalise if it meant survival. That is our true self, our instincts. In truth, they are not the monsters, we all are monsters."
"If you say it then, I can blow up this monster. Right here and now."
"Blowing up the world will not solve any problems. That would be an easy way out."
"I agree. I also want to spread peace throughout the world."
"You have a great dream. Peace, how nice concept it is. However, it is sadly one of the fantasies that everyone dreams of. The short term negotiations may put out the wars for a while but they don't cease to exist. Peace is just a medium to prepare for wars."
"This is the very first time that someone ever questioned my decisions and actions. I thank you for that. But, I am not joking with you. I am serious."
"It may be possible if someone as strong as you could wish for it. Long ago, someone told me, Dreams are only dreams when it becomes reality else it is just a fantasical reality that our heart wants to create. Awareness and experience drives those dreams. In the end, it is up to us to let those dreams be or make it a reality."
