Chereads / Symbiote Spider-Man / Chapter 2 - CH 1: Arrival on Earth

Chapter 2 - CH 1: Arrival on Earth

'This shit got real boring real fast.' Ali, now going by Alistair, thought in annoyance 'Maybe it has something to do with being stuck on the same rock in space for god knows how long! When the fuck are we gonna land?!' If he had a mouth, he would definitely growl each and every word. But unfortunately, being an alien blob, he didn't have a mouth.

Nor any body part, for that fact. But hey, it was one of the beauties of his favorite species in the Marvel Multiverse, the Symbiotes. Or going by their actual name, the Klyntars. That's right, he had been reincarnated as a Symbiote. To him, when there was such an interesting race around, it would be a waste to become just a normal overpowered human.

He huffed, mentally at least, as he looked out of the holes of the rock he was inside of and gazed at the vast, unending vacuum of space '...Haaah, oh well, whatever. I can't be mad when I have such an incredible, absolutely gorgeous view 24/7.'

He smiled mentally. If he still had a human body, he would be laying down on his stomach with his chin resting on his palm and his feet kicking up and down behind him. IF he had a human body, that is.

He still tried to replicate the action with his new body, but what happened was just a goofy scene of a black and dark purple slime wiggling around and some small tendrils coming out of it to wiggle awkwardly. (Image:)

He gave up with an annoyed huff 'Ooh, whatever. Let's just enjoy the view. Another plus, due to every cell of a Symbiote's body being a sensory system of its own, he could see everything around him. He was literally an eye slime.

'Heh, that thought doesn't get old.' He snorted. But as he was enjoying the beauty of space, he still couldn't hold back the feeling of sadness and loneliness. He didn't know how long he had been on the space rock, he hadn't kept count. He just knew that it had been for a long time.

And he really needed the whole "drifting aimlessly in the infinite void" fiasco to end already. Not just because of how tired and bored he was. But also because he was really, really hungry. If he had a human body, he was sure it would be growling for food 24/7.

Or more realistically, he would have already starved to death. Because he was sure he had been starved for longer than a few days. He was dying of boredom AND starvation, what a duo. The rock he had been riding was interesting at first too, but due to it being just a rock, it had also gotten boring fast.

And he called it a rock, but even calling it a boulder would probably be an understatement. Guess it had to be of a decent size for it to be able to land on a planet. Thanks to its size, he could at least distract himself by going on walks. Or uhh... slither around. No legs, unfortunately.

Like usual, to distract himself from his boredom, he started moving around the rock again. It was difficult at first, but after getting used to his new body, he could manage.

'Yet another day, and yet another day filled with only staring at the space and the stars in the ho-' But just as he was thinking, he froze in place when he crawled to the surface and saw a blue planet in the distance. A very, very familiar one.

'Oh... O-oh, my god...' He would have already cried if he had eyes. But again, none of that. Instead, he quickly focused on checking his surroundings. He had to make sure it was his own good old blue planet, not one that just resembled it in another solar system. But seeing the good old sun in the distance, he knew he was back home.

'Oh... Ooh, praise the sun!' He subbed internally. Even if it was awkward, he still raised two tendrils as hands to get into the right pose. Solaire would be proud. Wiping where he chose his "eyes" would be with his tendril, wiping away the imaginary tears, he sniffed internally 'Oh, I'm home. I'm finally home.

I'm so sorry for treating you so harshly back then, Earth. I'm sorry for being such an ungrateful prick in the past, saying you were boring-' But when he noticed that the previously distant blue planet was no longer so distant anymore, he froze.

He was too shocked and happy to realize that he was heading straight towards the Earth. Not even going around it, but shooting straight at it.

'Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!' He cursed, hurriedly crawling back into the rock, going as deep as he could and compressing his size as much as he could 'Shit shit shit! I did not think about this at all, but how am I going to survive this?!

Me, a damn Symbiote, a being that is extremely vulnerable to heat, am going to dive straight down the Earth's atmosphere! Forget about getting superpowers, forget about the hot women of Marvel, forget about fighting villains, am I even going to survive this fall?!'

Sure, he knew that Venom had reached Earth just like him on multiple occasions. But still, it was freaking scary. He felt it from the shake and increase in the speed of the rock that he had already entered Earth's atmosphere.

And seeing the rock get lit up in flames already made his nonexistent eyes widen 'AHHHHH!!' He screamed as he held on for dear life. Those flames on the surface of the rock, which were quickly eating away at its size, did not look fun 'I TAKE BACK WHAT I SAID, FUCK YOU, EARTH!!! AAAHHHH!!'

The flames finally stopped when he crashed. And as thankful as he was, the crash wasn't exactly fun either. Not when he got bounced around so hard inside of the now much smaller rock. It hurt, and it left him dizzy as hell.

'Oh... Ooh, sweet Jesus... Sweet Symbiote Jesus, I'm never doing that again...' He groaned as he slowly started to crawl out 'Hiss, ah shit!' Accidentally touching the charred surface of the rock made him recoil in pain. The pain hurt far more than what he had anticipated.

But he still wanted out. Bearing himself, he leaped out of the rock and splashed onto the dirt. And getting himself together, he finally checked to see where he had landed.

'Trees. Am I in a forest? Hope not, because I really need food. And I don't think the brains of some squirrels are going to fill my stomach.' Rubbing his aching "head," he looked more carefully 'No, these trees aren't forest trees. Too small and too few.

This isn't a forest, it's a park! Of course it would be a park. Where else could I land but the Central Park of New York?!' He mentally facepalmed. Of course he would land in New York.

There was literally no other option when it came to Marvel. He would find himself either in New York City or the base of some large organization. Probably the evil kind.

'Shit, the organizations!' Alarms went off in his head 'I completely forgot! I have to hide quickly. God knows how many of them took interest in whatever landed in Central Park! Those bastards will notice someone if he or she pissed weird. A comet seems like something interesting enough to investigate.

And I have no plans of being a lab rat for any of them, good or bad! I have to leave. Quickly. And as far as possible for now. I just need me a ride.' As he stayed on his tippy toes, he heard a sudden sharp sound. Sound of something shooting and cutting through the air. Sound of something... very familiar.

Without hesitation, he turned invisible. Not exactly invisible, but close enough. Another racial ability of Symbiotes, the ability to perfectly blend in with the environment. Yeah, he hadn't just lazed around and crawled around while stranded off in space.

As he stayed still, his "eyes" widened at who appeared 'Holy shit...' The visitor swung through the air before letting go of his web and landing gently on the ground 'Spider-Man! Damn, did I really need to say that like a villain?'

"What do we have here?" He said quietly, carefully approaching the rock "Just a random leftover piece of a comet? Oh, get real, Spidey. As if anything random just happens in New York City of all places."

He got close enough to inspect the rock, but not too close. He sounded young, but hey, he didn't do anything stupid. He frowned, his mask revealing his facial expressions somewhat "A facehugger or something isn't going to jump onto my face, right?"

Alistair froze while in the middle of sticking to Spider-Man. Shocked? Of course he would stick to Spider-Man. Who else would he stick to? Not only was he in a desperate situation, but he also would literally trust no one more than Peter Parker himself.

Sneakily, careful to not get noticed, he fully bonded with Spider-Man without him finding out. Only then did he sigh in relief for being lucky enough to not trigger the Spider-Sense. But considering how he didn't feel any hostility to Spider-Man, he wasn't that surprised.

Spidey checked out the comet for a few more seconds, and when he didn't see anything nor did his Spider-Sense pick up anything, he scratched his head in confusion "So... there really was nothing? No aliens, no alien technology, nothing? Nothing that would throw New York into absolute chaos in a few days, weeks or months?"

'Goddamn, the foreshadowing is strong with this one.'

"I guess living in New York does that to you. Overreacting and paranoia." He shrugged before shooting a web to one of the trees and swinging away. Alistair inside of him tensed up on reflex, but calmed down when he figured he was safe and saw the masterful web slinging of the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

'Hah, never thought I would experience what I've always wanted to experience like this. It looked amazing, felt amazing, just in the games. But now, when he was experiencing swinging across the city in person, he was fascinated.

'But forget about that, what should I do not?' He turned his attention to his childhood hero 'I... Haaah, seriously, what am I supposed to do? Hmm, what are my options right now?

1. Stay bonded with him permanently?

2. Stay bonded with him temporarily until I find another host?

3. Just leave now and see what the hell I do next?

Or 4... 4 is just...'

He thought long and hard, barely managing to enjoy the ride he had always wanted since his childhood. And in the end, he decided. When Spider-Man landed on a building to catch his breath and enjoy the evening midnight breeze, he resolved himself and with a guilty heart and conscience, apologized 'I'm really, really sorry.'

Peter didn't even know what happened. Just that suddenly, everything went dark and his body began to fall. But Alistair stopped his fall as he became a full on suit. It's the least he could do after delivering a quick, painless death to his 2nd favorite superhero. (1st one was Ben 10.)

His biomass had morphed inside of Peter's body, making several tendrils pierce straight through his brain and heart to ensure that he died suddenly and without even a bit of pain. Why? Why would he kill his 2nd favorite superhero?

Simple, being reincarnated as Peter Parker was another option, one that he gave up on because a Symbiote was more fun. More exciting. And 70% of the reason he or any of his other pieces wanted to come to Marvel was to have fun. So how could ignore the option that combined both those ideas to his doorstep?

(A/N: I hope you enjoyed this chapter, even though I just couldn't write the last part right for the life of me! I just didn't want him to seem like a soulless person even to those he admires. I hope you enjoyed it and even if you didn't like that last part like me, I hope you continue reading, because I'm going to cook🔥.)
