There is nothing that I need to do today, so I am just doing my usual body training in the morning.
In the field next to me, I can see Icy playing with Silvia's students, May and Plume.
After they came here, May and Plume become close to Icy in a rather fast time. I imagine it is because of their curiosity about wyvern that led them closer. Of course, Icy that is not afraid of humans is also a factor.
Because of their closeness, I give a task to May and Plume to take care of Icy. They also get another task, which is to research wind magic that is used by a wyvern.
As they are still a student, there are not many that they can research. But it will help them, or that is what Silvia said. For now, they are still being taught by Silvia about magic circuitry.
Magic circuitry is a branch of magic that researches magic circuits. Crowstar family excels in this branch of magic.
The magic circuit can be said in a simple way as the brain of the magic tool. Magic will happen if mana is flowing in a certain direction. And the magic circuit is the place that shows how the mana will flow.
A little change in mana flow will result in different magic happening.
That is why making a magic circuit is not an easy task. A little mistake will make the magic not work or even produce a different kind of magic.
Because of that I always feel awe toward the Crowstar family. They can master this hard thing and teach it generation after generation.
…
After I wipe my sweat, I walk toward the group of three.
May is the one that notices me first, "Good morning master." Plume also greeted me when she notices me.
"Morning you two, the weather is good today right?"
There is no speck of clouds in the sky today.
"Yes! It looks like it will be like this for the rest of the day," said Plume.
"So, how is it? Have you two been able to live in this place?"
"Thanks for Master Aquila, everything is perfect."
"Stop with flattery, there is nothing I have done," I said honestly. "So, how is it, is magic really used by Icy when it flies?"
Both of them look at each other before May speaks, "I can detect that there is a movement of mana when Icy tried to fly. But it is so little, I don't know if it is really magic."
"I see… Maybe because Icy is still a small wyvern? I heard that only the bigger, well, adult wyvern use magic to fly."
"That may be the case," replied Plume. "One way or another, we still need to observe more before we are able to make a conclusion."
"Well, then keep doing that, I will wait for you to finish the research," I said. I then bid farewell to the two as I wanted to cleanse my body.
Speaking of wyverns, the other egg is still not showing any change since I get it from Zael. There should be still many times for it to hatch. Right now it is stored in a special room at the back of the house. I don't know what the room was used for before. Looking at the big door, maybe it was a storage room? Who knows… The wyvern egg is placed there because the big door is big enough that a wyvern can pass through.

After I wash my body, I go toward the office. In the day when there is nothing to do I usually read any book there. Well, today I wanted to read the mysterious book, the Monster Catalogue.
Actually, I haven't really read this book. I only read this book when I first reach this place, and when I planned for the horned rabbit farm. It is only a few days ago that I got interested to read the Monster Catalogue again.
And that is because Zael was found getting attacked by a group of goblins in the Lothpine village. After Zael continued his journey, I look at the Monster Catalogue to search for info regarding goblins. After reading about goblin's information, I opened the page at random and found that it is fun reading this book.
Today, I wanted to look at the animal and monsters that can be seen live in the Northwellen territory. For now, I want to look at horses. I am pretty sure there is a way to breed a horse with good stamina.
I wanted to breed the horses that Baron Adrius have given to me. That horse is the best horse that lives in this place. I have tried to ride it before to test it. I can feel that horse has a huge amount of stamina. It can walk for around a hundred forty to a hundred fifty kilometers (87 to 93 miles) in a day. Of course, it can't do that every day, it still needs to rest the next day.
From the result, I know that this horse is a perfect fit for the Northwellen territory. This place is wide with villages located around 10 to 30 kilometers from the manor. Reaching the nearest village from the manor will need two hours to six hours of walking. Using a horse, the travel can be reduced to less than an hour of journey. If the rider is good, it can become a journey of only a half hour.
Now imagine if I need to move to three or more villages in a day, I need to have a horse with good stamina.
Just like before, I only need to think about what info I wanted to look and the book will open itself. It stopped at the page regarding horses.
As I expected, there is a way to breed a stronger horse. Not only that, there are many types of strong horses. But it is written that there are three types of the most desired type of horses.
The first is the high stamina horse, then there is the fast horse, and the other one is the heavy-duty horse.
A high stamina horse is just like the horses that Baron Adrius gives. It has high stamina and can run as fast as an average horse. The drawback is it needs more food.
Fast horses can run very fast. It is just the distance it can cover is less than desired. I don't think I need this type of horse right now.
The last one is the heavy-duty horses. This horse is special as it can pull a very heavy carriage. I never heard about this kind of horse making an appearance in the kingdom. The shortcoming of this horse is this horse moves slowly. So the distance it can cover in a day is less than an average horse.
"This heavy-duty horse looks good. I will try to breed it someday."
I then keep reading about how to breed the high stamina horses.
After some time, a messenger bird knock on the window of the office.
"Looks like there is a message. I wonder from whom the message is?" I muttered this as I stand up and moved toward the window.
